Can somone please tell me what weapons are considered a hybrid? Is a Duvol AR Hybrid? is a GEK hybrid? there are 2 assault suits with hybrid buffs and i dont even know what hybrids are! |

all the gallente assault rifles, which we have been using in beta, are hybrid guns.
Basic gun forms
laser, hybrid, projectile, and missile. |

Blasters and Railgun technology.
That would cover Assault Rifles, Sniper Rifles, and Forge Guns.
Except Assault suits can't use forge guns, so **** outa luck on that. |

As a eve player is easy for me to identifiy diffrent type off damage. But in the future I recommand to place little icons to say what type off dmg a gun or granate does.
All assault rifles are hybrid atm and the scramble rifle is mostly shield dmg based. |

No, the SMG does 110 to armour and 90 to shields - the inverse of hybrids. |

Plasma and Blaster technology are described in different terms, and there's reason to believe the Plasma Cannon may be an energy weapon (like Lasers) rather than a Hybrid (like ARs, Sniper Rifles and Shotguns).
Blasters use plasma in a tightly-contained electromagnetic field that makes the plasma act as if it has mass, producing a result that is similar to a physical projectile as well as an energy blast. Railguns work somewhat the opposite way, producing an energy-like result from a physical projectile.
The Plasma Cannon uses plasma in a more "raw" state, held together by a less confining electromagnetic field. This allows it to dissipate much faster, but would leave the plasma as an energy projectile rather than a hybrid one.
As far as I've seen, CCP haven't given a straight answer on this yet, but it LOOKS like the Plasma Cannon is less effective against armour than shields based on Uprising footage I've seen. |

We really need a solid answer and something ingame to say which is which. There should not be a forum debate on something important like this where suit bonuses are concerned. |
