These seem to be loaded words that can send the populace into a ridiculous and illogical frenzy either give us the numbers or don't. Otherwise you are simply stirring the pot of ****. You should not assume that a player can absorb and understand changes as a whole. What you should assume is that your job will be made harder by people who latch on to that one line and wail from the rooftops that their favorite toy is broken and its all your fault. |

It's all subjective really.
The official term is "rebalance", but whenever someone sees their playstyle tweaked to something they don't see as OP, they cry nerf. |

We were crying for the patch notes, and when they came out, we were crying at the patch notes. I have almost no doubt that CCP anticipated our reaction and just had a good long laugh before wiping their own tears of mirth from their eyes and continuing about daily business.

Fair enough fixed, I've simply read too many hmg threads lately.
you can see how: from CCP's perspective... they kind of want to see the forums go crazy. it gives them some sort of confirmation that people are paying attention.
while it's tedious and stupid for those of us who have to read all those threads, it's verification that people are paying attention. the worst thing in the world would be to release patch notes and nobody cares, right?
i'm quite looking forward to the new heavies! |
