I'm curious as to why, unlike Eve, weapons don't drop off of the dead to be used in battle? Other games do this seemlessly. I understand the suits self destruct but why not allow a short pick up period? |

There is no possibility as of now to pick by hand your loot. It is assigned "randomly" to your character... You can then assign them in the fitting room, "like in EVE"(TM)... |

I understand the suits self destruct but why not allow a short pick up period? I think part of the issue is that weapons are valuable in Dust, rather than being something you get from spawns on the map or unlock through achieving a rank, and thus accessible to everyone.
Basically, imagine someone kills another player who was using Balac's GAR-21, picks it up off the body, runs back behind the redline, and then camps there for the rest of the match to make sure he gets to keep that weapon. Not very good for gameplay. |

Do you really want ppl replacing their sidearm with ANOTHER proto AR?? |

And what if you don't have the skills to use it? |

If bluedots get to steal my 2m ISK Surya, they get to steal your weapons. Unless, of course, they change it to where unless you have the skills for the entire fit (just like in EVE) you can't steal it. Same for the enemies.

OR! What if their suit doesn't have the CPU/PG to fit it? |
