From what I remember of the Uprising footage from fanfest I seem to recall that one of the CCP devs was mentioning a type of armour plate that gave only small boosts to armour values but did not force the suit to suffer a movement penalty.
Now I looked over the patch notes and perhaps I missed something but I did not see any sign of Ferroscale/ new forms of armour plates.
Does anyone know if we will see them out this Build and if so any of the numeric values on the plates. I know for one that I am interested in creating a number of armour tanked Assaul builds and that one of the biggest hinderances for me as an assault armour tanked player is the loss of mobility associated with the current plates.
Im looking forward to this so much so that have planned out half a dozen Heavy Armour and Light Armour fits with multiple roles and tactics to use with each of them. |

I think those were in the advancing the core presentation, so they're not coming in uprising, but they're coming soon (not soon tm, just soon). I'm looking forward to the ferroscale plates. I suspect the reactives won't be very useful though for full armour builds. |

It was on the "near future" list in the Advancing the Core demonstration. Near future was defined as "< 12 months". There were no numbers given for that or any other near future items that were shown. |

In the very near future, but not Uprising. I really want those self repairing reactive plates. |

from the way CCP put it during the Advancing the Core presentation, it sounds like the Ferroscale Plates are for Vehicles only, so Dropsuits are still out of luck :( |

Can anyone corroborate this information, or provide a source (video, etc)? |
