Those of you who are demanding refunds without reset need to learn to read. The statement on the merc pack states that 'during the beta period ccp may need to reset etc' and it also mentions the 'refund'. Ok, what you all fail to realize is that the reference to the refund is only valid SHOULD ccp NEED to reset.
Now unless some of you aren't educated let me point out that said reset reference and refund reference are in fact a complete sentence, not seperate. Therefore the refund does NOT apply if there is no reset. You have an optional refund coming up, but it's your choice. Take the refund and get RESET or decline the refund and keep your progress. It's not that hard to understand |

The problem is that it doesn't read that way. You'd need to pull a Bill Clinton and try to debate the meaning of the word and.
It says refund at reset AND at commercial release. Those two items are exclusive of each other. If it said in order to receive a refund there must be a reset and the commercial release you'd have an argument.
The choice of going back to zero is ONLY there because this is exactly the way CCP's legal team interpreted it.
The issue is whether this is an issue that will cause a ton of people to leave. Will it receive bad press? Will it keep others from trying out the game? Will it keep players that used to spend money from spending money in the future?
As a person who wants this game to succeed I want to see a better attempt to satisfy a valid issue.
The people who are so against the "QQers" are likely people who think AUR should not be a part of the game to begin with.
I don't want anything for free. I don't require any refund to be satisfied, but I empathize with others who feel wronged. |

Refund at reset and commercial release yes, providing they would have to reset ON commercial release. |

So we are supposed to make a purchase based on an unspoken assumption on CCP's end?

yes, it's bad that CCP has to resort to technicalities, but many people here were also using technicalities to try and take advantage of the situation, it just so happens that CCP is better at the lawyer game. |

So now it's a "technicality" to want the thing I bought from them, that they used as the main selling feature of the item in the first place? |

In the other thread you spoke about the "intent" of the agreement, well that intent didn't mix well with their change of plans. Now you get to benefit from either the merc packs offer, or the "no more resets", not both. Because I seriously doubt the intent was ever a 2 for 1 offer.
I would say the original intent, or "spirit" of the agreement ,was fulfilled the last time we got reset, during the move to Open Beta.
Now it's up to you to choose, your time or money. |

You used it to get to the current stats that your character is at. You used it multiple times over on each reset, and now resets have been taken advantage of too many times and enough is enough.....you don't like it. You can have your refund, just start over. 'Refund on reset' is the agreement |
