With the SR not coming till the 14th and me being sick of having to use the default ARs, I'm considering putting a few points into the LRs.
My question is if it is even worth it to drop some points into the LRs after they've been nerfed when I could just wait, use the default ARs, and come the 14th drop my SP into the SRs. The old LRs used to just seem to melt anything that crossed the path of their beam, but come Monday I'm worried that won't be the case anymore.
The thing is I know the SRs will be excellent at dropping shields, but I haven't been able to see how much damage they do to armor due to the fact that all youtube gameplay footage of them consist of storm or clone troopers with the worst aim ever just spraying the SR about in the hopes a few hits connect.
*note I want to be full Amarr, so the thought of having to use other faction weapons until the 14th bugs me just a little* |

Im going full Amarr too and yeah I pretty much will be speccing Lasers even if they arent the most effective weapon they look too damn pretty in terms of aesthetics, and work with your theme, but also primarily because they are so damn badass when they are chewing through other players! |

ugh..... you or I wont know until Monday. The sharpshooter skill bonus to range is gone now so im not sure how good it will be. But im sure it'll still be a very usable gun. Just get level 1 LR op on Monday and test it out for yourself, or at the very least look at its stats to see whats changed. That's about all anybody can tell you without being biased about it. |

Well. If you look at it the way I do you might make up your mind. The Laser Rifles and the Scrambler Rifles are suitable in different situations and encounter ranges.
The Laser Rifle is a better mid/long range weapon while the scrambler rifle is a better mid to close range weapon. The scrambler rifle does not get a dmg increase with continuous firing, the laser rifle does. The heat built-up of laser takes a little longer while the Scrambler rifle overheats pretty fast if you don't know how to control your bursts.
I hope this helps on your choice. o.o I am going for the Scrambler rifle, depending on how the first week of the uprising goes.

*note I want to be full Amarr, so the thought of having to use other faction weapons until the 14th bugs me just a little* Well with full amarr then maybe 5% reduction to laser weapons heat up per level |
