Well here is the thing; ATM when firing the mass driver after a surtain distance the grenade just dissappears and it does not really explode unless it actually hits something. Now logic dictates that since a grenade nearly always explodes and the mass driver is a grenade launcher. Should it not be so that after a surtain distance, when it has reach the max so to speak, that the grenade explodes whether it is mid air or not and whether it hits something or not.
My suggestion is that after the grenade reaches its max distance, it should explode no mather where it is, in the air or on the ground.
My second suggestion is a diversity in type mass drivers, like in the sence of one could have a mass driver that fires timed delayed grenades or sticky grenades/mine's, etc.
My question thus beeing are we going to see some improvements in the future to the graphics of explosion and the way the grenades from the mass driver react to there environment in the future?
Offcourse i have not seen the graphics of uprising, so there may allready be some improvements, but i mean atm if you hit a solid object you get a nice explosion and other wise the animation looks like your hitting someone with a softball and if you shoot in the air, after a while it just goes poof and dissapears. Yet i can see every thing at any distance but not an explosion..... |

I'm with you, mass driver needs a bit more love. Before uprising, devs said that the terrain splash damage glitch was a top priority, but it wasn't even listed in the patch notes. In fact, quite a few changes they said were coming to the MD weren't mentioned. What happened to the mortar mode, fixed sight, fixes to the ballistics physics and other improvements?
Seems like the only way to get attention on here is to be an Assault with an AR... |

exactly...now that the heavy's are not going to be all they can be and its all focussed on the Ass with AR, it's time the other classes and weapons got more love.
The mass driver could be alott more fun to play with, if they just gave it more love.

They're completely revamping the graphics for Uprising, don't worry. As for your Mass Driver problem...Well...Until it becomes an AR, I don't think CCP will look into it. |
