Here are the reasons: -Laser gets nerfed on range (due to shaprshooter removal and iron sights) additional lowered damage on proto so that all 3 lasers deal exactly the same damage.
-HMG's get nerfed (less damage and range) gg CCP you just killed a whole dropsuit class
-removal off the marauder class and beeing replaced with "enforcers" oh cool i allways wanted a militia tank with more modules har har har.......
-more assaults suits added herp derp where are my shield extenders?
-more logi suits added oh yeah who are they gonna hug? the remains of the extincted heavys?
-charged sniper rifle moved from stnadard to proto category yeah its probs the only sniper that comes close to the thales but whatever
So knowing this i will tell you what you need to be a allraound COD fighter: -Assault suit -assault rifle -proto AV grenades -a nanohive
this setup is idiot proof cause when you gonna see a tank you just need to throw 3 packed proto AV grenades and the mighty "enforcer" militia tank will explode in less then 5 secs. Seriously CCP you are making the game way too generic and COD/BF alike. And what happends to COD/BF clones? They will be abandoned and forgotten in less then a month. CCP you are playing with fire and if you keep it up you gonna burn your hands. This here is the console market and not PC gaming like eve is. You basically trying to reinvent the wheel by adding edge |

Cause Heavies can't use Forge guns right. Pretty sure I can run around in a forge gun in a skirmish and rack up quite a few fun kills.

Laser needed a bit of a nerf, though I agree that AR's need even more of a nerf. Before I got SS up I had quite a few people out ranging my Viziam with Geks and Duvolles. |

QQ, I will be playing logistics, I don't have any problems with my nerfs.
The thing no one understands is that EVERYONE had some form of a nerf this build, you have no idea how extensive those nerfs are, as the poster above me sarcastically pointed out you have not played this build yet. |

I know it's not for everybody but it is an option |

So why should i get laser rifle operation up to lvl 5 when i can use the lvl 1 variant that deals the same damage? Oh and about the "temporary removal off marauders".. they sayd the same thing about the black ops tanks (chakram/kubera) and you never saw them again. Im just waiting for CCP to pull off the stunt where they sell marauders for AUR only. |

TLl;DR HTFU
Everything one of those items can be tweaked through hotfix now that passive skills arent confounding the issue. CCP can actually analyze the data without having to control for the confounding variables and fine tune (SS, maruder, increased damage through skills etc) without these issues CCP can tweak and rollback if needbe.
The mid grade tanks can be reworked and were removed to adjust the module slots since thats requires a change in code and thus new builds. So save that SP for those days.
The nerf to HMG is fine given they are a defensive role and the major argument that heavies were weak because ARs could pick them apart becomes less of an issue with AR SS no longer augmenting effective range, thus pulling ARs closer into HMG optimal as well. Again this can be tweaked and augmented as needed. But lets not forget that Heavy crouch and the fact HMG disobey the laws of solid matter.
But just because you cant play your role like an assualt player doesnt mean they killed your class they made it more in tune with what the role is supposed to play as. Frankly get creative and use the in game tools to overcome its limitations. Armor tanking is viable now so use it.
Of course the game will transition to Assaults and logis they are the basic class for players to start. The other roles are Situational support roles and they need to function as such. Stop trying to approach your role as you would in a pub skrim or worse in ambush. Perhaps if you knew how to play organized battles you'd know how to play the roles in a way that makes them useful.
Sorry not every role is designed to rack up kills, some are meant to be deterrants to attacks by offering support to the frontline killers. Assaults are frontline killers everything else is support.
If you fail to see this then you never really understood how to play squad based tactical shooters. Noone said your role is supposed to be viable the way you wanted to play it.
In short HTFU, Adapt or Die.

They're probably waiting to reintroduce both tanks when cloaking devices, capacitors, etc are added And then CoDers will QQ until HAV will be nerfed to uselessness. They'll probably be blown up by AR by then too. |
