I have two accounts, one is my main then the other is for friends family etc. so they dont mess up my save games or go onto the Market place and max out my credit cards buying PSN avatar images.
My brother was about to make a DUST character on my other account and it went through the normal steps until it got to the sync stage which popped up a message saying "Data Cache Corrupt, Please Reinstall".
Then i log into DUST with my main account and it starts up fine? I see this as being a problem for not only me, but other families with only one PS3 in the house and several who like to play it. Obviously my game isnt corrupt, but something isnt working right.
Edit: Im not going to reinstall the game until someone has an explanation as to why this is happening. Especially when a new build is on the horizon. |

go to "Saved Data Utility (PS3tm)" and delete the DUST 514 data there. you'll have to reconfig your in-game settings, like invert look and voice chat activate and turn off the tutorial stuff again but it can fix that problem. |

Data File updates currently unavailable. Please try again later.
I get this over and over and I have rebooted client. I need this fixed before skill reimbursements happen and I lose a bunch of SP thats not been spent yet. Any word from CCP on this issue? |

We never have so far unless it was a character wipe. This is not a character wipe.
The Spent SP will be Refunded. The Unspent SP does Not Need To Be Refunded.

@Agnoeo, the problem you are having is still the same old one that comes up from time to time.
The only official solution seems to be:
Try Again until you give up. Then delete, download and reinstall DUST.
The other solution that seems to make a difference for Some is to not use wireless and try increase the speed of their net connection.
The best solution to improve network performance is to make Certain that no one else is hammering your network. Is someone playing Netflix? What about Steam? Are any gaming PCs running cloud games or is someone playing Amazon Instant Videos.
I was surprised the other day by frame lag. And it stopped. Which had never happened before. Once I lagged the only solution was to restart DUST. The next day I check Steam for sales (of course) and realized I had left it on. Sure enough it down loaded an update at high speed while I was playing. I won't make that mistake again.

Ya Kal, we're good and really appreciate the information! Interesting enough, your info is more help than what dust support emailed me back with. They suggested clearing the cache(which I already guessed to do), and reinstalling. Though it sucks I'm on a 1mbit connection so that'll be a whole day to just do that :-/
I'm going to try your suggestions dude and If all goes well. I'll hopefully see you on the battle field today! |
