Chosing your dropsuit is going to be about maximizing its bonuses to suit your playstyle and take advantage of the weapons and module suited for each suit
Amar Assault
Assault suit bonus: +5% dropsuit shield recharge rate / level
Amarr Assault: 5% reduction to laser weaponry heat buildup / level
The amarr dropsuit is designed to make the most of the scrambler rifle and the laser rifle so if you intend to make those weapons your bread and butter this suit is a must. all of the other dropsuits will be unable to make full use of these two weapons and it is unadvised to use these two weapons with other dropsuits. It is well suited to using its lows for armor tanking and its highs for shield regen or extenders with the ability to use damage mods without hindering its defense
Caldari Assault
Assault suit bonus: +5% dropsuit shield recharge rate / level
Caldari Assault bonus: +2% hybrid weapon reload speed
Caldari: 210/120. 300/60. H/4 L/3 LW/SW 5.0m/s 7.0m/s
The caldari assault suit is perfectly suited to stacking as many extenders and other shield mods as possible and can forgo any armor based mods int he lows in favor of more shield mods. This dropsuit will need to use a hybrid weapon to take advantage of its skill bonus and should make use of the gallante assault rifle or shotgun as its hybrid weapons of choice.
Gallente Assault
assault suit bonus: +5% dropsuit shield recharge rate / level
Gallente Assault bonus: 5% reduction to hybrid weaponry PG/CPU usage / level
Gallente: 120/210. 300/60. H/3 L/4 LW/SW/ 5.0m/s 7.0m/s
The Gallante assault suit specializes in armor mods and required hybrid weapons similar to the caldari assault. this suit is the armor version of the caldari dropsuit so if you want to use armor and the gallante assault rifle then this is the suit for you
Minmatar assault
Assault suit bonus: +5% dropsuit shield recharge rate / level
Minmatar Assault bonus: +5% sidearm weaponry clip size / level
Minmatar: 150/135. 320/64. H/5 L/2 LW/SW 5.3m/s 7.4m/s
the Minmatar suit is the king of speed, its the fastest of all the assault suits and specializes in hit and run tactics. its best tanked with shields so that it can fully take advantage of its speed. its skill bonus improves its sidearm but currently there are only two weapons that can take advantage of it fully, the submachine gun and the scrambler pistol. this suit lends itself to using most primary weapons with equal effectiveness, but due to the scrambler rifles need for less heat buildup the minmatar suit cant make full use of it.
(due to the flaylock pistols low ammo count at most the suits ability will be able to provide an aditional one shot per mag, and thats if the system rounds the numbers up, so it is unclear weather the pistol can take advantage of this suits bonus)
Gallente scout
Scout suit bonus: 5% reduction to scan profile / level
Gallente scout bonus: +10% dropsuit scan radius / level
Gallente: 70/130. 250/60. H/1 L/4 LW/SW 5.5m/s 7.6m/s
Minmatar scout
Scout suit bonus: 5% redution to scan profile / level
Minmatar scout bonus: +5% melee & nova knife damage / level
Minmatar: 100/70. 230/60. H/3 L/2 LW/SW 5.7m/s 7.9m/s
The scout suits are easy to compaire, the gallante scout is the master of stealth as it can lower its profile further than any other suit in the game, the minimatar scout uses its extreme speed and you will probably make use of that by using modules to increase it even further to be the fastest dropsuit in the game.
use the gllante suit if you want to remain hidden and execute stealth attacks/hacks and provide intel. Use the minmatar suit if you want to be quick as lightning and finish people off with knives and shotguns
the logistics suits follow a very similar pattern to their assault equivalents, however their are only two noteworthy abilities, the minmatar suit has a built in hacking bonus, and the amarr logi has increased repair rate meaning its the only suit that can get away with putting only armor rep modules in its low slots.
It may be wise to chose the logistics suit that matches the race of assault suit that you would prefer to run unless you intend to run JUST a logistics suit and never plan on cross training into an assault variant. |

to be honest my experiance with vehicles is limited to creating railgun gunlogis and going mountain climbing. That and the vaariety in vehicles are limited at the moment, it would be different if all the racial varients were out and there was a big difference between each tank/weapon/fit but right now its too generic and my experiance is too limited. |

Good guide but I think u made a mistake on Amar logi, it's armour repair bonus is only for remote repair tools, not suit module

What about armour tanking?
the shield recharge is helpful reguardless of weather you shield or armor tank, for armor tanks getting that shield buffer back up takes the pressure off you armor rep modules and gives them some extra time to work their magic |

My mistake I thought I'd read different, I thought suit having self rep was enough and that the second bonus was for remote repaur to make it support the other Amar better, my mistake, is there enough new vehicle stats for a guide? |

theres not enough vehicle variety yet in the game to make a guide worthwhile, your only choices are armor or shields everythign else is transferable between the two so theres really not enough vehicle content for a vehicle guide.
however once all the racial vehicles are released i will do a compairison on them |

The Gal Logi is going to be a beast when following around a Heavy. No need for speed when you're a two merc mobile fortress.
Also, don't forget about the Min Assault's built in armor rep. Only 1hp/s, but no modules needed and it's not like you'll ever have much armor tank to work with.. |

true enough, but i was attempting to point out that the dropsuits have different playstyles and things they are good at and bad at. so idealy you will either want to pick one that suits your playstyle best, or adapt your playstyle to the suit you like the best. |

I like this discussion.
Minmatar Assault is just too appealing to pass up for me. Mass Driver coupled with Flaylock in a hit and run style tactic is gonna be a whole lotta fun. The interesting decision is whether to add Complex Damage Mods or Complex Shield Mods.......to hell with it. BOTH and then a mix! |

dont forget the passive 1hps built in armor repair, minmatar are the only race with this feature and its incredably awesome |

oh RE's my favorite weapon in this game, too bad i wont be able to carry them on assaults in PC matches due to having to fit the required nanite injector.
if you thought it was bad before just wait because they just got a buff to the number you can carry.

i was hoping that people wouldnt start getting paranoid about RE's the second they saw my name in a game, but it looks like i wont be able to get away with that for much longer, looks like im going to have to expand my traps to include a wider blast radius so even if you get the one on the objective i can lay waste to an entire base *insert evil laughter* |

No. Anyone can use anything with equal effectiveness so long as they have the required skills.
Race is just for "flavor." It'll affect your portrait options if we ever get an EVE-style character generator. |
