I have asked this many time before (like every build lol) and I will ask it again. Where will we physically fight for Galaxy, I meant regional, domination in May 14th ? Where is the server ?
As most of you should know by now, we currently have several battle servers around the world, EU, US, AU and Asia. Lately, CCP do mix people from different region together when there is a lack of player which is a great feature. It work well for public instant battle and shouldn't have much problem with Faction warfare (I guess).
What about Planetary conquest ? Since I saw no hint about choosing battle server from both attack side and defender side. Where will we fight these battles ? Is it autodetermine by the system ? How ? Since we are seeing a nice mix of player from all regions in many corp, I believe it's no longer possible for the battle to take place in "fair" server. It's the matter of luck now. Which is fine, I am not complain about that.
I just wonder if there is there is the way to determine where will you fight the particular battle beforehand ? You know to field players from the right region or to prepare yourself mentally for the latency to come. |

To try to summarize your post, if you're basically asking if there's server selection then yes there is, it's visible in the gameplay from fanfest.
If you're not asking if there's a server selection then I'm sorry for misinterpreting your post.

This was answered in one of the talks.
There is a short delay (I think 2 minutes) during which people are loading the PC battle but not in the War Barge.
The system will select the server that has the best ping to everyone who is waiting in limbo during this time.
Once the server is chosen, the players will dump into the War Barge and the game will commence after the normal wait. |
