Any tips? I've recently started using the mass driver and have no clue what to do. I can buy the EXO-5 but I want to keep the fitting cheap so standard Skinweave Logistics? I'm definitely going to put a nanohive. So anyone want to share their fittings or help me out?

Logistics Type-II
2x Complex Shield Extenders 1x Exo-5 Mass Driver 1x Flux Grenade (MD = Extra damage to armor, reduced to shield, flux insta-kills shields) 1x or 2x Nanohive 1x Basic Armor Repairer 1x Complex Shield Regulator
1x shield regulator isn't as good as 2 or 3, but still not bad. My fit costs 59,320 ISK and I can regularly go 4:1 if I try hard (lol).
Stats are the same on type 1 except movement speed. Expect to die more if you use it. Since you do not need to ADS with the MD, it is best not to because ADS reduces your strafe speed. MD is cool because you can keep high strafe speed with 100% accuracy. Strafe to aim = win.
Logi type-II also has crazy good stamina control. You not only get a large stamina pool than a proto scout, but you also have a higher stamina recovery rate.
That 0.4 m/s movement speed matters a fair amount, so it's up to you. You might die more in type-I, but you can check it out and see for yourself. It is cheaper for me to go type-II than it is to go type-I, but I never spent AUR on the sever. |

AS 0 Try Harder suggested, the shield extender IMO is the most important module when using an MD (maybe tied with a flux). At some point, if you haven't already, you will be rushed and you will need to file a close range shell which will probably damage you. With the reduced damage to your shields (and hopefully by then you have softened up your opponent's shields), you will survive the blast while your opponent takes increased damage to armor. You can even get away with multiple close range shells.
It has happened to me enough times that I probably will not go with an MD fit without shield extenders. |

the key with the MD is learning how to use the reticle. The bottom most part of the sight is where your round will hit on flat ground. It took me forever to really figure this out and now that I know I can hit things at 100m on my first shot. Especially if you are firing at targets further than 20m out, spamming your fire over and over may reduce accuracy as the kickback will not settle the reticle until after a little bit of upward kick. |

I would recommend flux grenades to dispatch shield-takers. In case you did not know explosive weapons like the MD do more damage to armor than shields. So after taking out someones shields it should not take much to take their armor down (most people don't focus on their armor). |
