I am not sure if this is an entirely fixable thing or if we shall be stuck with it much like a virus but-
Can something be done with the current engine about wonky vehicle operation? Can something be done to fix the falling to one's death while one's feet are still on the ground and never left?
Yeah, there are others, but these two stick out in my experiences on the battlefield. |

Yeah, there are others, but these two stick out in my experiences on the battlefield. What I personally hate it the ragdoll after death. It's like your planking in mid-air. anyway
1. coming in uprising 2. not physics, but probably being fixed |

I'm not sure if this is true, but I heard that the game calculates fall damage by the time you spent falling, and not the height. Since the terrain bug gets you stuck falling through the air for a long period of time, you take lots of damage.
That might not be true because the bottom of the map is significantly lower than the ground. So you can fall for a long time and great height if you drop through the ground. Sadly, there are many places where you can fall through the ground in a vehicle.
Also, for some reason, the game does not always have the screen where your body is or disconnects you from your body or something like that. I have no clue, but it allows you to "teleport" around to different places. Usually you "teleport"/move underneath the ground, where you then proceed to fall to your death. You can also jump super high, but I think all of this is getting fixed in the next build.
Once I got a HAV to teleport into the enemy MCC, but I have spent millions of ISK attempting to recreate it and I have not been able to. I think it'll be funny if I provide a link and instructions later ^-^ we can see if anyone else can duplicate it! |

I hate to break your little party balloon here but rag doll physics are loved by non-physicists and non-engineers. Specifically it is positively adored by the entire gaming design community. One might suggest that you get used to it.
Or one could get a job at UnReal. Then demand they fix it. Then look for another job somewhere else that afternoon.

If you have a map location where your HAV falls through reply in the Map Feedback Forum.

One of the issues related to the Deaths is the moment of death pins the camera while your corpse continues to bounce along on this or that mortal coil. Which leads to much fun as a Logi Bro trying to revive the Downer at the bottom of the stairs when they were killed at the top.
And the falling death appears to be an optimization, to me anyway. No sense in continuing to calculate potential fall damage when the accumulated damage is already more than enough to kill them. Might as well save some processing cycles and get the player back in the game.

Here you go. I reported a bunch, but 99% of them have to do with opening the overhead map, so I stopped because I figure they know that the overhead map can cause problems. That's what needs to be fixed. |

Dude, I was saying FIX THEM not get rid of them. I love ragdoll physics, their hilarious, which is why I want them to be better in dust. Right now its more stiffdoll than ragdoll. |
