5 days til Uprising...
And people are going to be grinding away for that last 24 hrs of x3 SP.
So... what if I told you it was pointless and you are being trolled by CCP and will 'get' this SP anyway in 5 days?
5 days til Uprising....
CCP told us 3 months ago their would be no more resets, part of the language used was 'your character will not be reset again to that of a new character'
5 days til Uprising....
Still no patchnotes or word on the Merc Pack refund.

What if I told you that on 6th May all 'newly created Dust Characters' are going to start with over 12 Million SP?
What if I told you, that ALL currently created Dust Characters are going to have their SP normalised to the same level as a new character?
What if I told you that all the millions of SP you will have on May 6th won't hardly get you into std gear?
Have a look at some of the grabs from uprising, you can see the players ISK amount clearly, same for their AUR - but why is the SP all blurred out? and no clear info from any CPM on skill costs etc (I smell another double NDA)
5 days til Uprising....
What if I told you that CCP are going to refund the Merc Packs.
So effectively, the only difference between us and a new character is that we get to keep our ISK and other stuffs that aren't being taken away.

Now.... what if CCP tells you this? |

10/10, I actually read it in Lawrence Fishburne voice, even though he never says "what if I told you" it in the movie.
And BTW. Test toons had over 240M SP and all skills maxed. You can see it cleary in 20m YT that Jenza posted. Not blurred.

In all the crazed one handed typing mixed with dehydration inducing self abuse there is a modicum of truth here.
With the smoke and mirrors of classic CCP misdirection Dev blogs have still not arrived, no word on Merc packs, etc.
If you trust CCP blindly in such matters I may have a bridge to sell you. |

I assume you're referring to The Matrix? If so then, yes he does. In the same conversation with the blue pill and red pill.

The SP gap is irrelevant.
During closed beta the players got used to a cycle of reset, grind sp, race to proto gear.
This dynamic is now is now ancient history. There will be new players coming in and vets wandering off all the time.
At no point in the future will the entire playerbase be in sync with their SP, and it doesn't matter.
People have the same misunderstandings about the SP gap in eve, and its a non factor. |

What CCP need is a brilliant, visceral way to communicate this to potential new peeps in an ubercool trailer. They've made several good attempts in the past but i don't think they've been able to fully convey the message to potential customers yet. If people knew that they wouldn't be getting omgwtfbbq'd by immortal 10 year vets all day the uptake rate would be higher.
New Eden has a way of destroying all hope for the ignorant and soft. Which is a beautiful thing, imo ;)
But still, a little education goes a long way. |

I would reply, I don't regret playing and improving my skills for these 3x SP matches - plus I unlikely I will ever again see the match result saying +30k SP - that alone is a nice memory and screenshot for me tbh even if CCP decides that everyone gets "reset" 
Plus, even if everyone do have 12m SP by start, then I'll be one of the few that has a screenshot with 10m SP - something that will never happen again.
