First off, I just want to say that I'm really excited about how we will be able to recall our vehicles just by hacking them for a few seconds.
But my question is: Can our team mates STEAL out vehicle while we hack? This could really undermine its usefulness.
Discuss :)

I am "reasonably" sure that you can, however, I don't remember explicitly testing this. Something to test day 1 I guess. |

Something else worth testing is if you can steal an enemy vehicle with recall. Like, say, murdering a tanker as they try to hack an objective, hack their tank then recall it. |

Next question should be, will these recall Rdv pilots be more sane than the one that dropped off my tank? |

It appears to vanish, no RDV required. |

Actually, it looks like the vehicles just kind of... vanish into the aether. |

Is this true? yes going to add on more, can you call in vehicles you hacked or is it exclusivly what you called in? it would be nice since hacked vehicles could be called in and added to your assets but what if a blueberry steals your tank or DS? then that would suck but I`m sure CCP put time into it, especily with all the dumb blueberry threads when it comes to vehicles. Also Saber says you have vids, can`t wait to see, any vids that shows a chunk of DS gameplay? to me more Uprising info on the DS the better but thats becuse i`m a dedicated pilot =] you can only recall vehicles you have called in, at least that was what it was like in the build we played on. and videos soon, i did recorded a little dropshipping i think. |

I am not looking forward to this...I can see myself chasing a tank all game, finally getting its health down really low and then it gets recalled and they call in another one.... |

Seems returning it takes a moment - but yeah, if it at least got RDV'd out, you still had a chance to finish it off. |

Though I would preferred RDVs as well. |

Well just to throw this out there, they should only be able to recall the vehichle if they have 75% or more combined armor and shield total (just an idea) |

I think the whole idea is to be able to drive your $70,000 LAV into a tunnel and send it back home.
I'm just looking forward to it begin possible for a vehicle run to end "successfully" before the match ends, rather than having to survive the whole match, abandon it, or die. Thanks for listening to us on this one CCP :) |

Comeon man, don't get all smart....Im pretty sure a smart tanker isnt gonna idk recall his vehichle in a position I can hit him in. Most tanks I go after know when to run and I usually have one shot left to destroy them just before they get away behind a structure or some sort of cover. |

the return should be no safer then the delivery, if you can hide your tank behind the red line base so a concerted AV force can't kill it that is just stupid will get tanks nerfed and will lead to abuse of the mechanic. It would be the equivalent of picking a fight at a station and then just docking as soon as you knew you couldn't win, EVE has timers and I guess we could do that but I see it being more consistent and more dynamic to have a rdv come get it, this means you can't just hide with10% armor and then vanish your tank and call a new one in, you should need support to get you tank off the field, or at least have to wait out the enemies interest. |

Exactly, you are gonna get tankers running to the red line every time they take serious damage, and while you could at least know you were free of them for a couple of minutes now tankers will just cycle thru tanks like we cycle thru suits, but they can make it to the red line in seconds, where they can swap in complete safety, and last much longer under fire. you think the cries of op are bad now just wait until tankers start making massive passive fits and driving them to the red line once they start taking a little to much damage and recall it 0 risk to them lots of reward.
I would much rather a menu select and leave, followed by a rdv pick up 15secs later, with a lockout on calling another rdv until your vehicle is retrieved. |
