It would be the equivalent of picking a fight at a station and then just docking as soon as you knew you couldn't win, EVE has timers and I guess we could do that but I see it being more consistent and more dynamic to have a rdv come get it, this means you can't just hide with10% armor and then vanish your tank and call a new one in, you should need support to get you tank off the field, or at least have to wait out the enemies interest.

Most tanks I go after know when to run and I usually have one shot left to destroy them just before they get away behind a structure or some sort of cover. Exactly, you are gonna get tankers running to the red line every time they take serious damage, and while you could at least know you were free of them for a couple of minutes now tankers will just cycle thru tanks like we cycle thru suits, but they can make it to the red line in seconds, where they can swap in complete safety, and last much longer under fire. you think the cries of op are bad now just wait until tankers start making massive passive fits and driving them to the red line once they start taking a little to much damage and recall it 0 risk to them lots of reward. I would much rather a menu select and leave, followed by a rdv pick up 15secs later, with a lockout on calling another rdv until your vehicle is retrieved.
