Right? It fits the lore? IMO it looks badass, almost evil. It doesn't look like a good guy. |

Are you kidding me? This is New Eden; there are only varying shades of grey. The Gallente certainly aren't the good guys; they've still got plenty of skeletons in the closet.
Back to the OP, yes, it kinda does. Makes sense as others have pointed out since Gallente are very drone happy. |

I didn't think we had any lore on who built the rogue drones. Didn't they appear out of some random gate or something?
And there's accounts in the books where the drones are inhabiting a Terran space station that's only accessible through an uncharted warp gate. Wouldn't that imply Terran origin? |

lol , "good" guys
The only "good" guys in my book are the minmatar race as a whole. They have damn good reasons for wanting revenge, I think they are 100% good guys, even the bad ones. |

If you're concerned about style the Amarr are the most sexy atm.

Dude they totally throw awesome parties and not only that, they picked on the little boy Caldari. Sure they're all about Freedom, but they step on things in the process and launch unethical campaigns.
BTW: I'm going to try and use as much Gallente gear as possible but go for Amarr FW as well as Gallente. |

lol Amarr are allies right. I'll be using the scrambler rifle with the Caldari assault. Just like I did with my lazer mixing the 2 most badass races ftw. |

1 - like in real life, the religious Amarr focus a lot on art and details. Their stuff is gorgeous.
2 - Minmatar have alot of reasons for revenge, but they-¦re not good guys. They-¦re just the "underdog"
3 - The Gallente are doing quite a lot of nasty things with it-¦s populace and abroad. Hit squad killing Caldari Civilians, the Black Eagles screwing with constitutional rights, public executions.... it stinks bad.
4 - Even to the ones roleplaying, you guys do know that weapons are not "attached" to a specific faction, right? I mean, you can be Minmatar and use an Amarr laser, and still hate the Amarr. Everyone loves an AK-47, no matter your ideology.
5 - Read the chronicles. They add a huge layer of immersion to the game and the factions. |

No, Rogue Drones are the product of a Gallente scientist, but there's evidence to suggest the Sleeper's have some influence on them (also note the implants in our heads that allow us to be immortal is reverse engineered Sleeper tech).
Quote:Rogue drones and wild drones are the terms used over advanced drones that mutated out of control. A few years ago some ingenious Gallentean inventor had the idea of creating super-advanced drones that could think and act on their own - in essence acting in every sense like a regular space ship except being unmanned and computer controlled. First prototypes were encouraging, but then disaster struck. The drones became unruly, then unmanageable. Some of these were huge - the largest drones ever constructed, these drones were even equipped with warp drives and equipped with the latest advancements in artificial intelligence. These mother drones, as they were called, along with several lesser drones soon managed to spread out, not only within the same system as the research facility that birthed them, but also to other systems. Only later men discovered exactly how - the drones attacked and took over space ships, then used them to jump to other systems, the drones themselves safely hidden within the ship. Needless to say the super-drone research was soon abandoned by the Gallenteans. |
