I'm having trouble using my official PS3 headsets with the game. Every time they get connected, it's like the game doesn't register when a button is being held (as in it taps the button multiple times). This makes it impossible to aim down the sights, hack or any other action requiring constantly holding down a button. Even sprinting gets cancelled after a second or two.
I have an official wireless PS3 stereo headset, and an official PS3 bluetooth headset (one ear), and both make the game unplayable when connected.
I've tried reconnecting the bluetooth dongle ingame, with no effect. tried disabling the mic, still nothing.
I really hope this gets fixed, otherwise I'm completely without voice chat capabilities, making this game kind of pointless to me, seeing as communicating with ones squad is pretty important. |

I have had a problem that is alike in the fact of being unable to move smoothly without it acting like I'm rapid-fire button mashing. I on the other hand have no mic, and have not connected one at anytime to my current system. Would love to be able to play the game without my character acting like a remote control car with an interfering signal LoL. Any help would be madly appreciated! Thank you |

It an existing known problem that has been commented on by the Devs in the Weekly Update posted on Thursdays in this Forum. There is another one for Feedback/Requests as well.
If you use the Sony Official whatever else wireless headset its operation requires the DS3 to reset or to be reset, exactly which I don't know, very often. Often enough that hacking is difficult to accomplish.
The only work around I am aware of is always connect the charging cable (mini USB) to the DS3 when using that headset.
I found, not related to the headset, that one must never charge a second controller when down in the DUST. It seems to really confuse their input handler. Which is weird to me because in my case I hadn't even activated the controller. Although the PS3 might have done it automatically and I hadn't noticed.
Hope this helps. |
