I'm wondering how a system that allows modifications to the weapons, will be implemented. I mean, you can add a sight to your AR and this is ok, but if you add a suppressor or an under rail bar or stuff like this, it will change how a weapon works. Example: a mod that reduce recoil should exist but it will be in contrast with AR operations that also reduces your recoil. You can't bypass a lack of skill with a weapon mod, unless they add a new ability for weapon modding, but i think that this ability should require the maximum level of proficiency on a weapon, for the characters ultra leveled and specialized. |

Why not just have it stack? That way it's not bypassing it, because the skilled players will still be better than you. |

i'm not talking about damage mods, i'm talking about weapon modifications. A thing like this, it's another game, just to know what i'm talking about. |

I played the GRFS beta and I'd LOVE the crap out of a weapons modification system modeled after the one in Ghost Recon.
I feel like it would be wonderful both mechanically and lore wise to be able to make a single fire, ultra light, small clipped assault rifle with bullets that paints the target on the map and then throw that gun on a scout suit. Boom now I have a recon marksmen. |

I had the idea. I will take the AR as example. Delete breach, tactical and burst leave the normal version of STD,ADV and PRO. Add to any weapon a lot of slots like the dropsuits. Start mounting mods to your weapons, a built in calculator will set the stats of the weapon based on what you have mounted on it, PG and CPU cost of the final weapon will raise if you mount a lot of mods, to prevent OP weapons. |

This^^ but explained better (which I don't feel like doing) and sectional moding (i.e. stalk, receiver, barrel) and then additions like sights/scopes, suppressors, under barrel attachments etc.
Much like what this seems to be in fact:
