Joint EVE / DUST exploration
One of the stand out scenes in The Reality Dysfunction unfolds when Joshua Calvert finds the memory storage device in the Ruin Ring.
That entire passage really captures something of the sense of mystery and the uncanny grandeur and almost terrifying wonder of the unknown that is at the heart of science fiction.
In addition to the hacking mini game Capsuleers will be able to use to plunder sites, it would be awesome for EVE pilots and DUST mercs to collaborate and cooperate on exploratory missions to floating derelicts, abandoned space stations, ruins on asteroids, and whatever else there is to find in New Eden. |

It would certainly be good way to tie EVE/DUST community closer. If some, critical for EVE capsuleers, resources could be recovered by DUST mercenaries only and used by EVE pilots, to provide services to mercenaries (ex. faster transport of clones or equipment) it would create mutual dependency loop. In certain areas of EVE/DUST of course. It would give a better excuse for both games to co-exists in The Universe of The New Eden... |

Here's how I see this going, and it sounds AWESOME:
Eve pilot scans down site, contracts dust mercs from his corpo. Dust mercs are transferred into his ship at a station, and then he makes way to the site (dust mercs are in a war barge type of room within the ship).
At the site, he approaches the complex where the dust mercs are transferred to the station by a tiny shuttle. The mercenaries enter and find they have infiltrated a pirate headquarters! Pirates are streaming in from other corridors, and the mercenaries need to reach the center of the station to activate the self destruct sequence.
All the while, the capsuleer outside is hacking various things to open doors and activate turrets on the interior to assist the mercenaries, and pirate ships are streaming in which need to be blown up. Should they reach the station, the pirate forces inside are reinforced with more men and better gear.
The mercenaries reach the power core and pump the station into overload. Now, they need to escape the station before it blows. The pirate forces, seeing their station is threatened, send in powerful battleships to assault the capsuleer, and he must fend them off.
Once the mercenaries exit the station, the shuttle takes them back to the capsuleer. The station blows, and the ship sifts through the wreckage in search of further valuable salvage. |

Not so fast bro Before we dust bunnies can go home we have to board and blow that "powerful battleships" assaulting our capsuleer Halador Osiris wrote:(...)The station blows, and the ship sifts through the wreckage in search of further valuable salvage.
