Hi everyones!
I had some ideas to enrich the interaction between EVE and DUST players as it is for me, the spearhead of this game! We know, for now the only support that capsuleers can bring our battles are the orbital strikes, I thought adding more strikes, launched also from 2500 WP by squads: So there we have the strike already knows, purely destructive, but I imagined such a cloud of gas (corrosive, radioactive, bio anyway I leave that to devs) that stay on a specific area (a NULL gun for example) for a certain time preventing access to a strategic point. And a third type that IEM who neutralize all vehicles, weapons, shields and equipment from the map, forcing all players, for a moment (like one minute) to fight at melee attacks, it can return a status last chance or face breaching a strategy vehicles. I also thought the capsuliers could also send turrets, deposits and additional CRUs (directly assigned to the requesting team) at a place specified and limited by number (CRU 1, 2 turrets and 3 deposits). Well-on, for that matter: Make them earn something at the end of the fight! Of ISK (the amount of a mercenary or a value proportional to its participation in combat) or else a stuffed lucky with a suction cup to hang the cockpit XD Briefly develop trade, contributions, interactions and communications between console gamers and PC geeks!
To you!!!

I think the mechanics for turrets and other instalations are in place I just dont think it active. We can assume they intend to sell them because they have a market tab. We know they can be delivered mid battle because of Ambush OMS. So they cant be that far off. As for having goo breathers deliver them, could work. But I think the really big interactions are still a ways off after release. |

I had some new ideas on the subject: In the next Battlefield (4) it will have a "commander mode" where a player will be able to give orders, provide logistical support, real-time inteligence and launch surgical strikes. I think it could fit on EVE and DUST without "plagiarize" provided: Just with a specialized ship in EVE who could follow in real time battles of DUST players affiliates in his corporation (or his faction ), contact them by channel, spot the enemy on the ground in addition to other support ideas described in my first post.

Reduce WP requirement for EVE support to 1000, vs 2500 for WB. Suddenly having a fleet in orbit is a MASSIVE advantage, and simply denying the enemy that support will be a tactic in and of itself.
Further, create agents (or just missions) for EVE players to be involved in OB strikes in the pub matches. E.g. You are running missions for some Minmatar Republic corporation (lets say Republic Fleet). A player takes a mission in the system in Molden Heath, Gelfiven. The mission is basically say Angels are attacking a planet in that system, you need to go and take out the enemy fleet that is attacking the Republic War Barge. You aren't directly firing the OB (which would be a boring mission, sitting there hoping your side gets an OB strike) but it would be a step in the direction of improving the link, and players could witness a war barge OB (and you would see them in space!). Alternatively, when a match is running a WB could appear for each side over the district, and have the district satellite come up (as it does for PC) as a sort of anomaly, with rats. If players want to treat it as another anomaly to farm thats fine, they can continue to ignore Dust, but it makes the game more present in New Eden so EVE players can see the connection, rather than it just be sitting in orbit waiting 20 minutes to hit F1 once or twice, with a sign in space saying "I'm here come shoot me" to everyone else. |

The nerve gas or something along those lines would be a good idea, and they could also come out with "gas mask" modules (or something related to a gas mask) that if fitted would allow the enemy to still get into that area, but only if they had it on. (make it pretty expensive). So there are even options for countermeasures for this gas as well that could further improve the marketplace. |
