Whats the chances of having you sell people the Dust codes for all that gear and just keeping the other two codes for yourselves?? you know.... selling it to people like me because id rather pay 50$ for the stuff I want in that deal rather then paying 150$ so that I can get a bunch of useless things on top of all that. I know this has been done before. I know a couple people who bought the golden LAV codes from people who had them. So what do you say guys??? anyone lookin to sell a few codes?? |

Yup theres eve players here bud. Though I probably should go find EvE forums to post it on there too. Lol Im only half serious about it anyway, it would just be something nice to have, though im not sure if I would actually do it. |

Can't post on EvE forums without EvE account. Try battleclinic maybe, lot of EvE players there that may not have Dust.
They will probably end up on Ebay, may run higher then $50 though. It is 3BPO suits and 3 BPO guns. It would probably be about $50 if CCP sold it by itself, lower supply and auction will drive price higher. |

You'd also have to find out the legality of selling in game items ... usually it's not allowed by CCP.
I've mentioned in another thread hopefully they'll provide the means for people to sell the unwanted items in game for isk ... so you could buy the set, redeem your Eve items in DUST to sell on the market to Eve players ... or the other way round.
Or obviously save up your iskies and look for someone selling the items you want. |

wow.. that's blows, I'm not paying 150$ for only half of collection and I love how its only shown on the EvE side and not the dust side and its shipped in October. pshh.. bad marketing there CCP. sometime I think you post stuff haphazardly without really even thinking about it and what it means or even proofreading it for errors. that's really getting annoying. |

IMHO it makes some sense - that's one way to get EVE players interested in Dust. Like: ohh, a shiny coupon for a suit, maybe I'll download this free game after all" |

well i feel alienated and left out because I don't play EVE and, well never will. marketing 101 never alienate your target base that feeling tends to last a very long time and cause negative reactions to all future promotions. alienating players is just bad any way you look at it and has long term effects. |

So what it has dust stuff in it.
A. Go to ebay and see if ppl are selling it there like ppl did with PS3 bundle stuff
B. Get to the forums on eve or other eve related sites and post there asking to pitch in on the cost of the CE for the Dust stuff, you will find more than a few EVE players that would be happy to accomodate.
C. Stop assuming those BPO won't be avaialble to us in Dust for Aurum like all the other BPOS have been. CCP isn't dumb if there is a demand for it they will make it available, just not for quite some time so as not to undercut their CE sales.
You feel alienated, GTFO did you feel alienated when kingdom of amalur had special unlocks in Mass Effect and vice versa. They are freaking BPOs and more than likely they are STD level BPO's
Also keep in mind there will eventually be a secondary market and you could get these things for free by way of trading for them with ISK. Are you still going to feel alienated then?
God the idiocy of some people. Marketing isn't about hitting every market. More importantly you are playing dust they have you, marketing needs to focus on getting new players in game.
The fact you have no interest in playing EVE means you are exactly the target market for this CE on the other end. The CE just happens to have more EVE related bonuses. But if the BPOS are enough to get you to purchase the CE and try EVE then it has worked.
The obivious answer however is a Dust CE that include a 3 month subscription to eve and some assorted goodies along with Dust related shwag. But lets face it that kind of product is a long way away. Who buys a CE for a F2P game thats hasnt launched and no real lore/art etc to make a decent dust related CE. |

Problem is, you jave to redeem your eve codes to get thr dust stuff. They don't just give you each code for some odd reason. |

now lets break it down for the stupid people. its called the eve collectors edition. notice the eve part there? that means its a collectors edition of eve. the 2nd part collecters edition belive it or not most of the items will be dropped in a eve musem of sorts many players have them inculding myself. you know like a collection of eve ingame items oh and guess what kind of items im adding to said collection yes thats right dust items.
as im in ccp's targeted market with this collecters edition i can honestly say it appeals to me so much that im getting it. oh yeah and heavy bpo hell yeah. |

oh for the love of god the level of whine!
This collectors edition is to celebrate the tenth anniversary of eve, hence why it was targeted to EVE players, if you notice the dust items are more of an after thought, that's because its for eve players.
one day when dust has been around a while expect a collectors edition just for dust.
As to RMTs given that you are selling codes this shouldn't be a problem, especially as RMT is mainly an issue because the Items tend to come from stolen accounts and be funded by stolen credit cards, this is not possible with the sale of a code so (correct me if I am wrong CCP) this shouldn't be an issue. |

ZING! and I posted this request to the eve forums and got some positive replies back. I'm waiting on a petition I sent to CCP to make sure this is all above board, once I hear back I will resurrect this thread and start asking for people who want to buy and start putting you in contact with eve players who want to sell. |
