Despite how advanced cloning technology has come, there are bound to be errors, especially when using a brain implant salvaged from Sleeper technology. I propose that each and every time you respawn, there is a slim chance of there being a cloning error. These could manifest themselves in a number of ways; distorted senses (vision, sight), hallucinations, greatly reduced movement speed, hand-eye coordination issues (reticle not lining up with where the weapon shoots), missing limbs, stuff like that. There could also be positives, equally unlikely to occur, such as greatly increased melee damage, higher speed, higher stamina, etc. These would have to be exceedingly rare occurences, fixable only by a new clone (death). |

They most likely check for cloning errors before selling the clones, so a clone with a defect would never make it to the battlefield. |

And how would a quality control system be able to check for mental irregularities or nervous system issues? The physcial deformities would be caught, but not the more subtle sensory ones. And keep in mind that we aren't paying a cloning fee, so what is paying to ensure that the clones are of perfect quality? |

And you can just commit suicide and spawn again. A huge ******* waste of isk. I guess it's ok if you're in pub games, but **** that in corp battles with expensive gear. |

Because scientists who can perform a full transfer of consciousness and merge the human mind with a machine cannot determine whether your nervous system is functioning correctly? |
