I've been to the eve forums. more so the dust section there. And some of the eve players there (nova) mention something that made me think would be interesting. Why is eve and dust forums divided? Ok, I kinda know why, but besides PSN login in, Wouldn't it again be cool to have one place where eve players that don't play dust, and dusters that don't play eve come together?
I mean to the two forums are different like night and day. No I'm serious. The MMO environment of 'lets do this together" is opposite from the VERY FPS MERC environment here. (I feel like home here.  )
Would be fun eh? No? Fine I'm not sharing any pizza with you guys.  |

It's mostly separate because of technical stuff.
The topic has been briefly touched on by ccp in the past, but that's pretty much your answer.

Interesting point. there are technical stuff in place that would make things difficult but its something i will talk to ccp about. |

"vision" "10 years" "Dust is not a CoD clone" "this is new Edan and therefore bullets should evaporate" "An RPG style leveling system makes this game an MMO" "No resets is hardcore" "Bunny hopping is hardcore" "high health is hard core" "Dust is a tactical shooter"

I like it. in, say, two years from now, when there is some real integration between Eve and Dust. Until then, I stick with this guy

Forums are based on what you log into the game with. For Dust, you log into the forums with your PSN ID; for Eve you use your Eve username. I highly doubt Sony would ever give username/password information to CCP for all of their users to have an integrated forum, so instead you have forums set up here hosted by Sony. Make sense? |

It's not the technical that holds it back; it's the privacy issues. Think about what you use to log in here (PSN credentials) and ask yourself how you would feel if your bank gave out your online password to your credit card company - both work together for your finances but would you be pleased? Nope. |
