What a fanfest that was, all the Dust 514 stuff is truely epic and cant wait to get the new content coming through. This video rounds up all we heard and saw with comments from myself.

LETS STEAL THAT TITAN
Can't wait to hear all the eve whining, "uugh dust is not part of eve" while we shoot them from the inside out, lets see how many old bitter vets we can get to quit the game after skilling up for 4 years to pilot titans! Hahahahahahahahahahaha |

Just to manage people's expectations : Boarding referenced in the keynotes was directed at stations, not player ships
The idea of going inside Both NPC and player owned stations, and NPC controlled titans and such has been toyed around in the map suggestion thread and others before.
Do not expect dust mercs on a player titan though :P |

It would mess with EvE gameplay to much to board player titans.
The idea in video of having the wreck of disabled player titan becoming a battle ground for few days/weeks would be awesome. EvE player would love chance to hire mercs to get the titan secured for repair, they run about 50 Billion isk don't they? Opposed players would also have good incentive to hire merc to take it.
Titan wreck might be worth as much isk for dust side as taking a planet, but be a short term time investment better suited to small corps hired by an alliance for the job. I think this may fill the role people complaining about small corps in PC wanted filled, something worth isk that affects eve for small skilled corp to do.
+1 to op for that idea, 1rst fight on titan idea that sounds like it could work for both games I have heard. |

When they showed the concept art of the inside of a Titan (during CCP Presents IIRC) everyone in the audience cheered; Eve players want Dust to matter.
Imagine getting rid of that terrible grind of taking down PoSes and replacing it with a close quarters battle for the station, either take it over from inside-out or blow up the reactor core and destroy the whole thing.
Carriers launching dropships with a squad of Dusties on board to damage modules. (Maybe piloted/shot down by eVR pilots???) |
