Communications and squad play. How do you roll?
Communications is a weak point for us. When the game starts we say for example "your squad spawn fom ground and take A we spawn from the MCC and take C". After that it just turn to random chatter. What are your tips? Some good advice for having efficient communications?
I know all the obvious stuff like calling out tanks and snipers and their locations. |

If you are talking about a random game with just random people, it is pure luck. I have had ones started out as a team with zero squads and it basically became the Imperial Clone Army and decimated everything in its path. It was glorious. Usually though you will just get typical random people that don't want to use communications and are just running for points or mindless fun.
If you are talking about a corp, it honestly comes down to being people's friend and getting everyone to walk in a line. Get to know people by a moniker or their real name. Once that level of friendliness is there, you can start to work on comm discipline. KINDLY remind people to keep the chatter to as low as possible and if they are cut off by someone saying something about the game ala "Tank to Point B", they need to be quiet so everyone can hear.
Kindness is the way to go. Telling people to just "shut up" is a great way to get people annoyed. When people are annoyed, they stop having fun. When they are playing a game and not having fun, they start talking as a way to get some enjoyment. It feeds into itself. Gently remind your corp mates that WE are in a match and that WE need to keep the chatter to a minimum if possible.
Be well. |

The problem isn't people talking over others. It's the lack of tactical communication.
One of my corpmates was in a pub match with lots of Seraphims and the like and he said it was like a well oiled machine. Everyone had mics and were communicating with eachother. They destroyed the opposing team.
I just want to know what else there is to it than "enemies coming over to C" or "sniper on the mountain north-west"? |

Well, if you have a logi in your squad (and if you don't, tsk, tsk), you should keep him up to date on your ammo, armor, and location if bleeding. |

In my opinion first and foremost to squad communication is simply knowing one anothers playstyles and how they are most likely to respond in a given situation.
Taking things a step further would be naming popular fire lane's and individual objects on the map. By using short syllable words such as colors you can quickly spit them out in the heat of battle and are easily remembered. By naming Every single object within the area of an objective you can quickly with one word notify your squad to their exact position within them even having LOS.
Problem is that a given maps surface infrastructure is never the same from day to day. It would be very difficult to name all necessary locations on Any map we currently have. It would be a hell of and undertaking to do it but would be invaluable to squad communication when everyone in your Corp knows the "call outs".
