can it be? there will be 3 differant types of orbitals?
small medium and large ammo for the orbital strikes?
i wonder what kind of damage they will do. and will we see crators on the ground? |

it does seem that CCP is very interested in getting as many kinds of orbital support as they can.
Who knows? Maybe one day you could commission a Titan to Doomsday a planet potentialy destroying all SI on the planet? |

Dread orbitals will eventually make it in, though it could be a few years down the line.
Dreads are most likely for taking out entire installations, so that means we will need substantially bigger maps, meaning bigger player counts in matches. And destructible environments on top of that. That's a lot of taxation on a game that struggles as it is.
Worst case scenario they have to wait until the game has fully migrated off of the PS3 and that version of the client has been abandoned. If that happens, it could be upwards of five years. |

This has been known for awhile. They have had BP's for the Orbital rounds floating in eve for people to make and get them into circulation.
Projectile, fired from a Minmatar ship with Gatling gun or some type of solid projectile cannon will cause EMP damage. Wiping sheilds of everything in its radius.
Hybrid rounds, probably from a gallente ship, High damage, wider AOE, slower drop rate.
Laser, most likely Amarr, not as wide area, less damage, fast drop rate. What was used in the keynote video.
And im not sure about missiles. I haven seen a missile OB blueprint yet so idk if it exists.

Also an orbital that just runs scanners over the area. The flux orbital already exists- it's called an EMP, but only eve ships can fire it. |
