Y U CONTINUE TO CALL TANKS? you'd think after losing 2 or 3 tanks to my ADV breach they would stop calling in more.... alas i must try harder.

Oh, I see. You've never actually come up against one of the legendary tankers before. (Zitro, 0 Try Harder, Slap, etc). Good luck hitting them with an orbital AND killing them. |

Nope, they won't.
No single orbital will kill my tank, and never stay in a place without a way to retreat. |

In regards to the OP, I think it's the same reason why people continually use expensive fits even though they are loosing a ton: the hope they might still turn the battle if they keep coming in with the best equipment, they are really crappy players and as such don't know how to play unless using really expensive equipment and my final favorite, a lot of tank pilots don't know how to play assault, so when they are finally out of their tank they are quite useless.
Charlotte, it's too early to put forth the survival of the fittest, as we will have to wait till after the new build. Because what would happen if lets say the swarm launchers get a massive buff and the tanks become as fragile as Dropships, or maybe this scrambler rifle is able to shatter the armor of tanks. We won't know until the next build, as all we are doing now is basing it on our current situation.

Good point. Maybe I'll wait a few days before spending my skill points -- see what the scuttlebutt is in the forums before I end up invested in something that doesn't do what I expected. |

i'm sure i've run into and killed one or 2 of zitros tanks. Though i couldn't say for sure.
I know for a fact i've killed dr.spazz's tank, he runs a PRO sagaris IIRC. it's not that hard to kill any tank no matter how well fitted it is. If it's in the hills flush it and finish it. if it's in open field it's begging to die |

I can drop a soma and kill 4 tank one right after the other with barely the time for the barrel to cool off does that make me a good tanker, NO.
the fact I can turn the tide and effective take down av teams and know how to draw a large part of the enemy away from the main part of battle while I stick pick off snipers, turrets, and other stuff slowing down my squad/team making their work easy yea sure. |
