lol @ CHRONOS claiming the victory when they had Regnum on their team. Deep down you know you didn't really win...
And whatever happened to competition? The desire to be the best? Why are members of opposing alliances fighting together in a tourney? Just so you can stomp all over the other teams? smh..

Not really. the last matches was a little wobbly but that was main to a few people (including myself) getting internal errors and having to restart the game.
For the record, there was only 3 imps and the remaining 13 where all Cronos members. (12 betamax and 1 WTF)
As chuffed as we all are for winning, there was no real competition, the prior games where all redlines and we started teamkilling for fun! Next year we hope there will be more dedicated dust teams for more fun. it was supposed to be a 16 team tourney but only 8 signed up, most of which where only eve teams giving it a go, random people who didnt have a team, or team haggis, the winners of last year's tourney, except they where beaten in the semifinals by Team with no friends, the guys who just signed up without submitting a team. another very good team, razor, only had 13 people show up.
We would have still won without the imps and really we just decided to be on the same team randomly after we where down 3 people. Next year, i hope that more of you guys will head to fanfest. I know a lot of Cronos are so it would be awesome to have a bit more fun and more competition.

What you forgot to say is while there were only 3 imps its all that were needed. Apparently regnum got 200 more kills then the next closest player. You can thank us later for the win. |

interesting thread, not one mention of the eve battles over the planet and the fact that we had orbitals raining from the sky.
I enjoyed shooting the planet, maybe next year some eve teams will give use a run for our money like -A- did in the first round, so our Dust514 team has to work harder. |

The 3 IMPS alone on whatever team would have won that tournament, Protoman Zitro and ReG alone already wiped this whole so called competitive dust community clean. 13ear, Beld Ermon, and Doug would have dominated the whole tournament, Almighty, EnIgma and Metro could have wiped that whole tournament clean. I could go down the list mentioning the whole alliance but that would take to long. I would mention myself but I'm not even that good. |

You do realize it was more akin to a Pub Stomp, right? They were fighting against a team that wasn't a collected organization, it was just a bunch of guys who happened to win by some random ass means and make it into the finals.
I'd hardly call it a challenge and even Jenza Aranda (the CEO of Betamax if you didn't know) said there wasn't much competition.

So we all have heard the news guys. Cronos won the tournament, I don't give a **** what anybody says but the thing is, guys, that's not the reason why I decided to react man. Cause you see, when I look around this thread and read some of the replies, I see a lot of confused people. People who don't have their priorities in order. People who admit they're from the Negative-Feedback alliance, no big deal! I'm willing to overlook that, man. Hell, I don't even care about people wanting to have piece of the glory or trying to boost their own egos, guys. That's all well and good cause you know how I am: I just don't give a ****. That's how we guys are.
But here's where the **** hits the fan, guys. And as a man I have to draw the line somewhere. Let me explain exactly what I mean and note that I don't wanna be too hard on you guys but it has to be said. What I'm talking about here is that we have 3 CPM members in that very Cronos team, guys. People who have put in the hours for this community to build it up, have helped us greatly by providing us information that CCP sometimes fails to communicate effectively and just overall made the community and the forums a more positive place. That's more than we **** heads will probably ever do for this community. On top of that these guys gave their prices away for charity without hesitation. And what do we do? We are having a ******* argument who got 200 more kills than the guy next to him... Well ****! The bottom line is I don't give a **** who you guys think is the "MVP" of the tournament! I just wanna say big thank you for all the CPM members. Keep it up guys! |

They had a couple of players from outside their alliance rounding out their numbers, who are now claiming they were the only reason the team won, even though if that were true, they could have run without a team and beaten the guys who actually won.
It's fair to say they contributed, and that their contribution was valuable in locking down the victory instead of it being a closer battle. It's not fair to say "Regnum did all the work and nobody else needed to be there".
Also, someone else has shown up to try and derail the thread with the (awesome, but mostly irrelevant) fact that several CPM members who were also part of the winning team donated their portion of the winnings to charity. Nice touch, but again, not actually on-topic anyway.

others are claiming that, not the few imps who were there. Saying that, it was a fun game =) glad we didn't red line, though i do think the plans that Kain had and the plans i had would've been fun to put into play, Thanks for the fight Team with No Friends. |
