im making this topic because im tired of buying a tank and fittings of over 2mil and getting pawned by swarms and av grenades, the surya is meant to be a top tier tank and with all the armour and damage reduction on tanks swarms and av's are still doing way to much damage, how the hell can i 10k armored tank get taken down this easy |

You have to follow the infantry action, don't try to go alone and your tank will be safe. |

Maybe you're bad at driving tanks. I see plenty of people keep their tank around until the end of the match despite attempted AV. |

if i went in alone i accept the fact of my tank getting destroyed as that would be my own fault but when your getting hit by swarms that are hitting you from a range of jesus it makes it impossible for survivability, before the buff of swarms and av grenades i had a soma survive 5 games but now a surya cant even survive 3 games, this to me is is the problem |

I have a madrugar on my 2nd char, it's fitted with blaster cannon so i have to stay close, we lost a match with more than half of the enemy ccm armor remaining, but i didn't lost my HAV. But if a good squad is highly determined to kill your HAV then you must worry. |

yeah i noticed ppl love seeing tanks to spawn anti armour but you have to agree here either the damage or range of swarms needs to be fixed, i like to roll in with the inf being a blaster tank build myself but the range and damage of swarms is ridiculous |

its not like im a noob crying about this tpoic, iv gone 36/0 in my tank but them swarms need fixing one way or the other, maybe i was wrong to label the topic swarms and av because av aint really the problem as it takes atleast 6-7 nades to actuaaly cause major damage |

If you've gone 36/0, then there isn't a problem. I think the shield tanks need more love than anything - armour has a huge amount of hardening available. |

this was before the buff and sheild tanks have speed to get away from swarms range and i run hardeners |

i'm more for decrease power of the AV grenades, they are invisible and have the homing ability, at least you can see where missiles of a swarm launcher are coming. |

being in a blaster tank av nades dont really cause me a problem as i just roll back and wait for them to pop out of hiding but swarms have too much damage and range |

you know it would be just as good i suppose to have more low powered and high powered module slots to counter act the swarms even this would be satisfactory |

Armor HAVs are fine. It maybe took me 5 railgun shots from my Gunnlogi to destroy a Madrugar. I even accidentally overheated on my fourth shot and it was my squad leader that I told to finish off the Madrugar with an orbital as he had maybe 1/5 armor left.
I think swarms should be active seekers all the time and not fly in a straight line to where your previous location was and turn a sharp corner to hit you in the a**
AV grenades should have much less homing capabilities. Sure I use them but that's how I've noticed how little skill you need to have in order to inflict massive damage. |

If it takes 4-5 shots on a tank with a rail gun you need a more powerful version, it takes me 2-3 shots with a particle accelerator . The whole point of the rail gun is anti vehicle |

In order for them to understand CCP should make militia swarms that deal 150 damage but can lock on to infantry, turn corners and require no lock on time. Proto anti-infantry swarms should deal 250+damage. AP grenades that can stick to them whether it has been thrown carefully or not and deal 150 damage, spammed across the map, and proto ones to deal 230 damage. This is the only way they will be able to comprehend what you are saying. Forge is forge, it can kill infantry, we do not need to make a mini version of it. I can keep my tank alive for 30 games but with amazingly good players ie. 13ear, but a guy with proto swarms deal 3400+damage to armor with 3 damage mods givem that you do not run hardners. Even with hardners it deal 2200ish. It is sad that one can solo a surya without reloading. |
