So KB/M has some problems, with vehicles, for example. they move quicker with KB/M. and with heavies they can turn quicker than intended, so are you gonna fix em? |

I personally feel the controllers should be buffed to match kb/m as far as tanks are concerned. If you drive backwards you can get full throttle while turning effect on the controller.
Make it so we can do it while driving forwards too. |

If they just made the DS3 controls just as good it wouldnt be a problem. Idc if they CopyPasta from DICE... Imo BF3 has the best movement and control out of any FPS that ive played on console. |

There's also the fact that a kb/m can hold a headshot while strafing at 20m+ with ease while the Ds3's sensitivity settings make that borderline impossible.
On the other hand, kb/m needs work too. They have issues like the inability to cook grenades and terrible steering for LAV's.
Basically both control methods need tweaking, but for ground units and tanks the kb/m has a very large advantage over Ds3 when in the right hands. This needs to be rectified since the game is virtually run by ground units. |

See, I don't understand how this happens - it must be subjective as my experience with a 4000 DPI gaming mouse and G15 keyboard proved to be a hassle at best. Slow turn speeds (had to throw the mouse across the table just to turn around) and an outright inability to select spawn location proved to be unfavorable when compared to the DS3.
For the record, I bought the PS3 exclusively for Dust 514. Most of my FPS gaming experience comes from the Xbox 360 (of which I have no owned since Halo 3 first came out) and on the PC. The fact that, as a PC gamer, I am more comfortable using the controller just seems like something is wrong. Maybe it's just the compatibility of my gear with the PS3 or something, I don't know. |

The DS3 in general is bad for FPS games. A good analog needs proper weight to it so you have a sense of resistance and aren't just flying past your opponents head all the time.
The stock 360 pad is better in this regard, but if you want to take it to the next level I would recommend going for the somewhat pricey MLG pad. Those analogs are weighted down very, very strictly and customizable to boot.
...... or just use kb/m for half the cost. |
