Geno Smith is a hotly anticipated new player in American Football (NFL) who apparently wasn't as hotly anticipated as everyone thought because he wasn't one of the first players picked by a team.

After ten years of work the medals have been reduced to nothing more than a joke. Generic Kill? Come on. Do we really need a medal for that?
Comes to show that no matter how big and famous a company is, they are still prone to making stupid mistakes that make you wonder how these mistakes could have slipped through the cracks by a company backed by so much money.
Microsoft.
Before Microsoft, they were a small, hungry company that made really awesome games. |

Football guy? First thing that comes up on google is a football guy. Don't care. Game's slow to watch. Rugby is fun to watch, 40 minutes of people trying to kill each other over a ball, with minimal interruption. football is a bunch of guys wearing pads, stopping every 3 seconds because somebody dropped the ball, or got tackled by someone. |

oh my bad, didnt realize that Destiny could tie into and affect/be affected by a MMO where hundreds of thousands of people are fighting wars, building empires, and making bank by scamming and gaming the economy. |

Zahle Undt wrote:Oh and for Destiny Bungie is shooting for players having about 80-100 hours of gameplay in a year, with updates?
A year?! When I heard than number, I thought they meant per week! Well, okay, maybe per month.
I play way, way less than a lot of people and I'm pretty sure I break that on EVE alone in a year.
Zahle Undt wrote: If CCP gets enough FPS junkies to play Dust and buy a little Aurum between CoD and Battlefield releases it'll be fine, especially if this "AAA free-to-play FPS" comes loaded for free exclusively on your PS4 helps Sony move some units vs Microsoft.
Interesting thought. I have to give you a like for putting the pieces together. I should've seen it but didn't. |

Eh... Rugby's nothing compared to Hurling. Especially before they started wearing helmets.
Still, it's worth noting that American Football used to be played without the armor they wear today. Then the Amarr started putting 300lb. players on the field and everyone decided that Heavies were the way to go. |

is that like the olden timey game that is basically the progenitor of both rugby and football? where you were allowed to bring whatever you had onto the field and involved the whole town?
nope, wait, looked it up. that's pretty hardcore as well, all the psychosis of hockey, with the grip of being on solid ground, and less padding. sounds fun to watch. |

"what's dust?" is the answer from the rest of the world...... It cost a company $40,000 dollars to patch a game on a Sony system while it's free for Xbox, Wii, and PC/Steam. Just sayin'
That $40,000 number you just pulled out of your ass came from a news article that said a game on Xbox was killed because the indie developer did not have the cash to patch it it's critical bug and Microsoft of all companies would not budge on their policies (as they've been known for, or Dust would be multiplatform). |

Looks like it might be fun. But this video tells me about 1% of what I'd need to know to determine that.
Also, if it's exclusive to the Xbox, it's a non-starter for me. |

Actually, it was from the Awesomenauts forums as to why the developer has openly refused to patch the PS3 version and moved on to Steam. |

Eh, you have to understand.
OP actually wants Dust to succeed or he wouldn't be going through the trouble of posting so much.
He just realizes that negative reinforcement is sometimes a very necessary tool when dealing with CCP on the road to greatness. When people get complacent and let CCP do whatever, you get Incarna.
Tough love, baby. |
