Anyone played this with the Move?
The kids want one for that Wonderbook game. Just curious about how it works on Dust. |

It's like kb/m without the pinpoint accuracy. |

Only played a little bit of dust with the sharpshooter and it still needs work. When you aim and move the cursor on screen the gun should track its movement, right now it stays in one place and is really annoying. Will ADS the gun blocks your view and is not easily moved because your movement is tracked by a tiny dot, so if you are trying to shoot someone that is below you while ADS you simply can't cause the gun stays in one spot and won't scroll.down so you can see your target. There are many other flaws about the sharpshooter and suggest people test it and give feedback cause it is still.really broken but such a fun piece of equipment to use in a FPS. PLEASE CCP FIX THE SHARPSHOOTER!
On Topic: yes sharpshooter skill doesn't have any obvious benefit for the MD. I think the SS skill should benefit the MD while in ADS. ADS should have a range finder that takes a second to lock-on and then fires the round to that point without adjusting aim. The SS skill comes into play as the more you skill the further the range finder increases in range. So when you first skill into MD the finder is only good up to say 50 m and each level increase the range by 25 m.
Not the best solution for sharpshooter but it is one, the second that I hate to mention is have the round explode after a set distance (i.e. missiles) and when you skill up sharpshooter the round goes further before detonation.
Copied this from an old thread but is still relevant on the way the move works.
If you have infamous 2 CS:GO and there are a few others like Heavy Rain and a move exclusive game that you play as a magician apprentice that are all really fun with the move.
It get some taking use to but it is a lot of fun once you get the hang of it. And they are compatible with the PS4. |

Have played lots with move and sharpshooter and really enjoy the extra immersion it gives me, but, it is broken and I sincerely hope it gets some uprising lurve!
Hard to get used to but so much fun, easiest to play as a Heavy to begin with as it has no ADS so limits that problem plus the heavy's general movement is slower so easier to get to grips with how to move around with the move controller. Absolutely a must to use it with the Sharpshooter peripheral and then pray that CCP gives us customizable button mapping SOON TM! You will need the nav controller with sharpshooter so it all adds up to a fair investment but I view it as money well spent.
CCP has improved it in each build so fingers crossed feedback has reached the right ears and it gets a well earned tweak in May as well |

Wow good for you for sticking with it in this game but yes button map is a must, the reload button on the bottom of the gun looks good on paper but fails completely in practice. Taking your hand off the thumb stick that moves you to reload is insta death in any FPS. Tell me pumping the gun wouldn't be tons better for the reload action? Also do you use your middle finger for the trigger and have your index on the square and triangle button directly above the trigger effectively having all your fingers ready to hit any button at any time? I have always found it frustrating that with controllers you take your thumb off your aim stick to hit a button like reload or duck and is why M&KB have such a huge advantage over pads. |

I experient with ALL the control schemes.
At the moment, all of them are broken.
Move is just bad on most levels it can be bad (although it's better than when the crosshairs moved but your aim didn't in the E3 build).
Mouse and keyboard need work, and there are too many exploits with certain functions magically not applying to those controls at times.
Sixaxis sensitivity and deadzone still need major improvements. |
