I agree with your sentiment. But I think you should still be able to access the streams.
You can watch them for free, just not in HD as far as I can tell.
You can pay the 20 subscription through twitch and watch in HD but you won't get in game items.

What would EVE players want with Quafe suits though? I thought there was a way to access the stream from Dust? |

I have purchased the stream, but I do have three other accounts with which I can purchase it (assuming there's a limit of one per account). if someone so wished, I could potentially purchase the stream on your behalf (you pay me via paypal), and send you the twitch.tv + DUST code. And that gives me the advantage of the free ship and t-shirts in EVE, so mutually beneficial arrangement! At any rate, you can email me at [email protected]. No idea if this is permitted or not by CCP terms and services.
On the other hand, if you want to avoid all this, you can directly subscribe to the CCP twitch.tv channel via twitch tv. However, this method will not get you the quafe suits. |

There are two main reasons I have purchased the HD stream this year:
1. To get the free goodies
2. Because the recordings will be made available shortly afterwards
(2) is particularly important for me, because the keynotes will be on at 4am. This means I can watch them later in the morning of the same day at a more convenient time. Apparently, the non-HD videos will be available in a day or two afterwards also...though it was worded to sound like a longer delay, and of course they're not HD. |

Yeah I can do all of the above to get the suits, but why can't I log as my dust char and do it. They want us to join the universe but as secondary citizens it seems.... Doesn't seem like it should be harder than logging in as we do for this forum and paying via PayPal or Google wallet or whatever. Just trying to bring it to their attention. |
