if a corp attacks a district with 500 clones, and loses the battle, maybe losing the minimum 150 clones, does he get any of those surviving clones back?
I seriously looked for this answer all over, and really couldn't find it =/ |

Yes.
If the Attacker's clones have a home to return to, then surviving clones will survive. Otherwise, the survivors will be sold back to Genolution for 100,000 ISK. |

For starters the max clones on a district is 450 with a cargo SI and 300 without, so you could only attack with 450 at most and would be abandoning the sending district in the process. (note - you can only attack from one district at a time because attacking locks the target district).
To answer the full question though, any surviving clones are sent back to the district they came from or sold if you don't have a district. That means if you send 400 and lose, a minimum 150 clones (or more if you lost more than 150) are lost and 250 return or are sold. If you win, you lose as many clones as died in battle and the rest return or are sold.
Important things to remember are that attacking with genolution packs will always result in leftover clones being sold unless you capture the district as they have nowhere to return to. Also clones are always sold at the same price whether sent from genolution or a district meaning that if you're planning a genolution attack, you better be sure you're going to take the district that battle or you're losing a lot of isk! |
