Some of my friends tried too but they had 2 problems which is why I am left alone in this game. The first one is the element of loss (which I think is good and one of the reasons I personally love this game), however, there is a problem I believe for new players being the lack of tutorials or a practice arena. Have you any intentions of adding such things? Or an extra room in your merc quarters where you can practice say shooting moving dummys or just practice with guns that you have? There could also be damage counters so you could get damage and maybe a dummy that you can put armor on like a player and test damage. This would be amazing for theory crafters!

I know I'm still seeing MANY new players not in squads. Joining a corp and regularly getting in squads will help you find your role, survive longer, lose less and generally make for better practice and help you with talking through your fittings.

EST= -5, EDT= -4 CST= -6, CDT= -5 PST= -8, PDT= -7 ...and for my friends in Calgary: MST= -7, MDT= -6 : which means the Video cast would be at 10:00 am for them :)
