This is a solid opinion from both proxy mine user and a tanker.
Proxy mines are currently quite weak (not going into details but: low damage, mines are visible packpacks on ground, often they won't detonate).
SImple request: REMOVE THE BEEPING SOUND THE PROXY MINES.
It is a cheap way to castrate proxies. Too cheap.
Would proxies become broken (as if op) after this change? Probably not. But still it might be good to also light them up on TACNET if someone is really pointing their scanner on ground.

actually just fix it.. after you kill/leave area the beeping still goes on for like ever. |

You remember Dark Clouds tank? He could hear them yet still got blown up by them when we fought him. My tank has been blown up by Proto mines because I could hear them but like you said "They're weak, lololproxymines". I like the fact it beeps, maybe make it a little quieter but if you're being hit by swarms and firing, you wont hear them anyways. If they're behind you and you're being shot at, you're gonna end up going over them because you didn't stop to shoot them and theres no way to avoid them.
So no, they're not weak, proto mines are hench (Capable of bring my tank down) |

Hmm. Pre-uprising proto mines were crap. Stacks of 9, 12 or even 18 did not take tanks down properly. Lots of that is prolly bad detonation mechanics as I've seen tanks happily drive over the stack. |
