replaces grenade slot.
transfers energy from the suit's movement systems to the shields/armor, reducing movement speed severely(90%), but granting up to 75%(skill gives 5% per level, proto module gives 50%, standard gives 20) basically turning you into an extremely hard to kill turret.
have to be standing still to activate, Damage Reduction increases over time(to stop people from simply using it any time someone shoots at them) and it requires a 1 minute cooldown between activations(counted from when you end entrenchment mode)
thoughts? |

Interesting idea. I like the slow ramping up after activation. I'd say actually reduce the cool down as the slow start should moderate the module. Would you have movement fully restricted from the first moment of activation, or in reverse tandem to the module's slow build up to it's full. |

I was thinking about having a fairly quick ramp up(15 seconds at proto, 25 for std) and the movement could be a ramp down as well.
it would be something you activate in advance of an expected rush on a held position(preferably from a chokepoint so they have to funnel right into your field of fire).
and the 45-75%(at level 5 of the skill using either the standard, or proto mod) reduction is on top of the standard resistances(you take the 45-75% first, then you take the amount dictated by the armor/shield restance to certain weapons) so those grenades wouldn't be doing much that a logi in the same room couldn't take care of with a triage tool.
its meant to be a wall of fire, something that the enemy either dies to, or wises up and goes around, since every objective has at least two ways in. |
