What is the point of the lobby right b/4 you enter a game? Walk around for 30 seconds, stretch my clone's legs? Look at all the same character models? |

Every online game has some sort of lobby before the match... I like dust's the best
As to the point of it.... There was an old dust video back in 2010 of what was possible in it back when it was on CCPs own engine. Ill try and get a link |

I believe it's original intent was a place where you could see which map you will be fighting on and then develop a battle plan. |

The lobby I hope is loading up some of the match assets in the background, while giving everyone time to connect to the match and all start at once. Without it, you have people joining late due to longer load times because of internet lag and system specs (SSDs load much faster). |

Well yea thats basically it... What you thought the merc's are perfectly fit for battle. Nah man you gotta do squats, push ups, jog in place. C-mon now!!! And little bobby over there is probably more fit then your own merc, you need to get more fit then him. And even you might see some chick that got a nice butt. |

The Merc Quarters is the useless part. It's an unnecessary load screen, when I can do everything there from my NeoCom while I'm in the barge awaiting deployment. |

Hmmmmmm the Eve one has a locked door that's always saying that the environment is not suitable yet. I see some kind of future where dust players and eve players can meet and develop a strategy.
And that giant table in the middle maybe just maybe it'll one day show the map hmmm ??? |
