I know not everyone frequents Reddit, so I threw together a video with some of the bigger points I saw in the AMA. Big ups to CCP Foxfour/Jian/Blam for doing the AMA.

Hey,
Fantastic video! A quick response from me about one thing though:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H9cMz4uHbjE&feature=youtu.be&t=6m
You talk about the latency indicator and how it is only available once you are in the battle. This is because we don't start the battle server right away. I will point you to a post by CCP Nullarbor: https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=702395#post702395
So as a quick example: A corporation battle is scheduled to start at 14:00 At 14:00 you can join the battle, but you will sit at the screen for a couple of minutes. At this time we choose the region to start the server. After we start the server we let you into the war barge and we show the latency indicator on the battle finder.
So anyone joining after the war barge starts up will see the indicator before joining the battle.
FW battles are started dynamically, so you will always see the latency indicator. We don't let you in those until they are started as they don't have a scheduled start time anymore.
I hope that all makes sense. Any questions, um, ask, but I am getting back to Fanfest preparation so no promise I will respond. |

CCP only allows for name changes that involve capitalization changes and only for a short time after character creation. If you don't like your name you have to create a new character. |
