Before I start, my PC is pretty decent, as far as all the games I've played in the past.
I just got Skyrim for my PC (mods!), and I don't understand what all the PC elitism is about. Compared to the PS3, it's relatively glitchy, while the controls are clunky and sometimes just unresponsive (first fight of the game- panicking as to why my character only swings once in a blue moon).
Not to mention the problem with graphics/performance that I haven't had with stuff that looks just as flashy.
It's a good thing dust is on PS3- standardized specs are a lifesaver. |

PC elitism exists because of people who build their own custom PCs or pay others to build high quality computers.
a point of note if purchased your computer from a company its low tier, mid tier at best. if you purchased it from a person who built it then its mid-high tier. best buy PCs wont run anything pretty out of the box unless you use them as a base for a build ( which i would NEVER recommend)
If you happen to own a custom built PC then you notice the difference |

for the gaming side, i can remap controls to my whim making them non clunky, i can use endless mods/addons and public glitch fixes to eliminate any problems i encounter., i can literally modify every last detail if i see fit and on a mid-top tier system it worth smoothly and flawlessly
by the sounds of it you have a low end computer
Before I uninstalled SWTOR, it worked fine on high graphics settings. Skyrim is still unplayable on minimum settings. |

The customization aspect is the one point on which I can understand having pride in one's machine. However, I have to shake my head at this whole PC Master Race nonsense. I like having a dedicated game machine, and having a laptop for other purposes. Not too in love with this trend of having one machine in which you have your whole life. |

i have a dedicated game machine, aa dedicated Multimedia machine, and a medicated internet browsing random things machine, all of them happen to be PCs
so you dont have to have all your life on a single machine. |

i have a custom build single core processor with a low-mid tier graphics card computer, custom built by my own hands. and it runs skyrim flawlessly, it runs most things flawlessly. Also the computer is about 5 years old now
PC master race exists because they are simply more powerful, more adaptable, more customisable, and your not told what you can and cant do to it.
