I love the SP boosters and think for the active player, the 30 day active is great! However, for those of us who don't or can't play as often as they would like or are able to, I think a match-limited active booster would be more worthwhile/cost-effective.
If a player plays 6 matches per day, 5 days a week, that works out to about 120 matches per month. They get a bigger boost (no pun intended) for the active 30-day booster. Another player with the 30-day booster activated, but finds they can only play 3 matches per day, 4 times a week due to circumstances would see a greatly reduced benefit from the 30-day booster.
If there were a, say, 100 match active booster, something like that might benefit the casual player and help them grow (at their slower rate) as it would stay with them longer. Price it at the same price as the 30 day booster, and I think the market would decide appropriately. The Pro players would see the greater benefit in the 30 day booster, the casual gamer, the per-match one.
Just a thought...

I would really like to see this, but I don't think it will happen. it makes to much sense for them to leave it the way it is to milk people who have more money then time.

I like it! I expect it would require a bit of coding to apply a match counter to a booster, though. And I wonder whether you'd have to apply an expiration date (even if it were, say, 6 months in the future). Actually, I guess that would be the easiest way to code it: a 6-month booster that gets canceled after a certain number of matches.
Sorry. Compulsive problem solver. Short of it is: Great idea! |
