this is seriously pissing me off. the forums here say the servers are up, and for all i know they could be. unfortunately i cant get that far. as soon as the game tries to check my files to see if they are up to date i get the message saying that updating is unavailable, and if it cant check my game files to see if they are up to date it will not let me into the game. so for all i know the servers could be up, and thousands of people could be playing right now. unfortunately ill never know because the people on the TECHNICAL SUPPORT forum refuse to help. hell, so far nobody has even acknowledged the issue. the least you people could do is tell me if anyone else is having the same issue. which i doubt because if they were they would probably be just as pissed off as me and also posting on this forum for a solution, and i see no other posts about this. |

Okay, here is some data from GMT 01:20 Apr, 17. Local time is 6:20 PM, PST Apr, 16 which is GMT -7 hours.
Servers are up. I just logged in to PSN and DUST servers. They checked my files, showed the intro and I am currently at the character selection screen with my two characters and one empty slot staring back at me.
There is a Sticky near the top of the page regarding similar problems. Read it here:

You can use Search with your specific error message. If that fails try Google with DUST or Dust514 and your error message.
If you try several times and are unable to connect then you can delete DUST, download it once again and reinstall the game. |

How long have you been playing, i.e. how old is your installation? My initial install from a year ago was nearly 8GB. In January I deleted/reinstalled the game. The newer installation is just under 3GB. A lot of little glitches disappeared and the game seems more stable for me. I used to have to restart the every hour because it would become a slide show. Not it takes about 4 - 5 hours for that to happen. |

yea i got it fixed. the uninstall worked, i just didnt want to have to do that. was saving that as a last resort. but yea i guess it was something to do with my install, because i got invited in early beta and played a little but didnt really get into it, but did keep the install. and then a couple months ago i tried it out again. figured it has been awhile, i couldnt get into it then but it was still early beta. so i gave it another shot and been playing for most of the day everyday since lol. but yea i guess it was one of those old install glitches you were talking about Domingo. |
