I've seen these strikes from the sky happen all to much on me lately... I'd like for some eve players to help me out. As I know nothing of eve or how that would work. I'd really love for some eve player backing as I've been told eve/dust relations help both players. So eve players lemme know would love to team up |

Oki Doki, this very much depends on what type of Strike you are seeing. The strikes in public matches are "Precision Strikes" called from the NPC Warbarge. Any squad leader can access this type of strike, as long as you earn it. Each "Precision Strike" needs your squad to earn 2500WP together for each strike. So first strike available at 2500WP, second at 5000, etc. These do not require a Pilot in Orbit, as it is all NPC controlled.
Now, for the Player Orbital Strikes, these are called "Tactical Strike" and at this point in time, they are only available for Corps running Corp Battles, with an EVE Pilot who is part of the Faction Militia you are fighting for in Orbit ready to deliver the strike. These are similarly limited by WP amount, the same amounts as for NPC Precision Strikes.
The main differences between the strikes atm, is Precision Strike is a "one size fits all" type strike, with less damage than the Player Tactical Strikes, whereas for Tactical Strikes, there are 3 types available atm, depending on the Guns and Ammunition the EVE Pilot has available. Tactical Laser - Small radius, high damage, concentrated in the EM and Thermal bands. Tactical Hybrid (Railgun or Blaster) - Larger Radius and Laser, less overall dmg than Laser but more than Precision. Tactical EMP - (Autocannon/Artillery) - Large Radius EMP Strike that wipes out all shields in the target area.
In addition, once Uprising hits on May 6th, strikes will be able to be called on Planetary Conquest planets, but again these are Lowsec planets/areas. For these the requirements are the same as Faction Warfare strikes, but instead of the same Militia, Pilots must be in the same Corporation or Alliance as the DUST Mercs requesting the strike.
I hope this has cleared things up a bit.

lol you can only call in a OB regardless if it is supplied from the warbarge or a eve pilot when a squad hits the 2500WP mark. So no endless spam from idiots in space to help out bad players. |

Explain this for me... What about a eve player funding a dust player some isk. I've heard a decent eve player has tons of isk because ships n such cost way more than dust gear. What could one do for an eve pilot to earn money? That's what in most interested in |

a dust player has nothing to offer a pod pilot. right now there is no isk transfer between eve and dust. you're going to have to grind out your isk and start getting good in a cheap suit. |

That's what in most interested in ISK transfer between both is not possible at the moment and wont be possible in the near future cause we aint even have a proper playerbased market. But that doesnt mean that this "feature" hasnt beeing tested in the closed beta by "accident" on the sisi server. Im quite sure some people remember it cause it took place in the closed beta tourny. |
