Last night I was in a match when my corpmates announced a slot in a squad. I flew my dropship to the back of the map, landed it in a safe location, and left the match. I hopped into my merc quarters and was elated to find that my dropship was gone. I emailed support and spoke with a GM, who informed me that the vehicle is deducted from your inventory as soon as you call it in, and those items aren't restored upon leaving the match.
I don't feel like this is entirely fair. I know people have asked for a way to remove vehicles from the match in the past, but could we at least keep the vehicle when we leave?
TL;DR I'm broke and dropships aren't sustainable. |

Don't bail on a match. Seems obvious. It's rude.
If you're waiting on a squad slot, wait in the MQ. If you drop, then ask your buddies to wait for you. If they won't, don't drop.
If all of that doesn't sink in, at least don't be an idiot and spawn a HAV when you know you might bail and leave your team a man down. |

Rather than receive your vehicle as soon as you leave a match, I'd like to see us receive it if it survives the rest of the match.
For example, called in a Rail Tank the other week whilst with my Squad, got DCed and my Squad kept the tank alive, one drove it away out of the battle and stayed there till the end, it survived yet I still didn't receive it at the end of the match when they all returned to the MQ :/ |

The problem with retrieving your vehicle from leaving battle will look something like this:
You are about to destroy a 2mil HAV when the driver quits the battle, saving his vehicle.
I say no to retrieving your vehicles from quitting battle. You yourself will quit battle but your vehicle remains to blow up or to be taken by someone else.
However, I say yes to a system that allows you to recall your vehicle, thus allowing you to quit battle after yor vehicle has been retrieved. |

Don't call a dropship unless you want to consume it. Doesn't seem like a problem to me. |

If you ever noticed, on the kill feed, it will say "So and so committed suicide, so and so left the battle"
Leaving the battle requires you to suicide, so you have to pass off your DS to someone trustworthy to keep it in your inventory. They are deducted from inventory as soon as you deploy them but you can get them back by making them last the match.

Only if you stay in the match though, if you leave it's gone. |

Now, I'm not an expert on these things, but I'm fairly certain elated doesn't mean what you think it means. |

I once called my DS at the end of the battle. It ended while i flew the DS. It went back into my inventory after inspecting battle stats and returning to MQ.
I think if you leave your vehicle and leave the battle or match ends you loose your toy. Someone will get it as a loot from battle.
To keep your stuff you have to fly it/drive it while battle ends. Leaving the battle will probably result in loosing vehicle despite you still occupying it.
I wonder if someone steals a vehicle and battle ends with the thief inside that vehicle if she/he will add it to her/his assets? |
