I've heard that the system for games on the PS4 will be very similar to that of the PC. Since CCP has confirmed DUST is coming to PS4, it would be very easy for them to port it to PC. I heard somewhere that they made an exclusivity deal with Sony, does hopefully this means no. I wouldn't want hacking cheating PC gamers playing with me. |

I would say that there's a good chance that, eventually, dust will come to pc as well.
As far as hacking, there's no difference between the pc world and the PS3 world. The ps3 is a computer. Also, dust has server side authority, so the server has to verify all hits etc.
Dust is server side in this way precisely to minimize hacking on any platform that it's on. |

Regardless, as mentioned, Dust has the same server-side authority as EVE - and EVE has not once been hacked in an entire decade, so a PC version would not unleash a hacking hellstorm. |

Not been hacked ? as in mining bots ? or mission bots ? or that guy from Pandemic Legion that made himself not show up in the local list so he could kill ratters ?
yeah...i see your point...

All games have bots and bots are not hacking, they are an automated series of commands (click here, press F1, wait 3 mins, click here....) and that local thingy was a particularly nasty bug and/or an exploit, but not a hack. |

I dont know why you asking the players, But if this game goes to PC, which it already is on the PC( Development build CCP uses to make the game) then you would expect a better game competing against Planetside 2 on PC, and would probably port to Mac osx |

Given that dust is an unreal engine game, I'm going to respectfully disagree here. The ps3 is marginally different than your vanilla pc, but not enough to matter regarding hacking.
Having said that, the argument is kind of academic anyway considering that dust is a server side authority game. The original question, minus the ill conceived dig at pc games and players, was if the game will come to the pc. No one here knows, but ccp seems to be building the game in a very pc friendly way. I think that speaks for itself. |
