Certain militia items (I believe the ones you get 1 of with a new char) will always restock themselves to 1 when restarting the game, even if you used it up.
Ex.: Equip the Militia Nanohive that you probably have 1 of on any suit. Die in that suit. Now, you will have 0 and the fit will be invalid. Unequip the item from the fit, quit the game. Restart DUST 514 from the XMB. Presto, you now have 1 Militia Nanohive again.
Also happens with the Militia Shotgun, possibly other items.
Possibly related to having the Militia BPOs for these items (this is also why I would rather use up the non-BPO version so the random 1 item didn't clutter up the gear list). |

Postscript: only seems to occur after deleting the invalid fit or or changing the items in question to make the fit no longer invalid. Tested today leaving the invalid fit in my fittings, didn't produce 1 extra Militia Nanohive/Militia Shotgun upon quitting/restarting the game. Deleted the fit, quit/restarted, 1 item of each type again. |

Weird!
Do you remember if you did the little tutorial thing where the game walks you through buying a thing and putting it in a fitting? I'm asking 'cause, if I remember right, those items were the ones you "bought" doing that. I noticed that I had them anyway after skipping it on an alt, or after a wipe or something. Might be something to do with all that.

No, I skipped the tutorial when making this char (I had made a different char before on a previous build). Interesting thought; I didn't know that's where those items came from, always wondered why I randomly had 1 of those things.
I'll experiment later today and see if doing the tutorial makes those items able to be consumed. |

See, now, I don't know which of my alts might've gone through those tutorials and which mightn't've, or I'd try it out on my end and see if I could replicate the odd behavior.
Well, if you find out anything interesting, keep us posted! :) |

Just tested it, after doing all the tutorials, then losing that suit, then quitting/restarting, that gear is indeed gone. Weird, and thanks for the tip.
Even more weirdly, you can still get the bug after doing the tutorials if you leave the fit as-is (i.e. fitted with these items that you now have 0 of, after losing them), then quit/restart. Fit will become valid with 1 of each item after restart. So, the inverse behaviour from if you didn't do the tutorial. Blargh.
(Incidentally, but a totally different issue: the Market Tutorial currently points to the wrong place - arrow goes to the bottom slot on the Market, which used to be "Militia Gear" but is now "Featured Fits". You still have to select "Miltia Gear" from midway through the menu to progress the tutorial.) |

Nope, a day later and the Militia Shotgun / Nanohive are back (as well as the Militia Assault Dropsuit that's also part of the tutorial). Not sure if it's because of assigning Endurance Event awards today or some other random thing. |

If it is militia gear then check to see if it has a blue box around the item. Blue boxes and yellow boxes indicate Blue Print Original items and you will never run out of them. The blueprint count, unless you have duplicates, stays the same--at 1. For an example of this check the starter fit, all items in yellow cannot be removed, only replaced but you never run out. BPOs can be purchased under militia gear in the marketplace. |

I'm not talking about BPOs or the free yellow-box items that come with the starter fits. I have the BPOs for the Militia Shotgun & Militia Nanohive, and *also* 1 BPC of each, which is a separate item when choosing items to put on a fitting. The BPCs cannot be used up; if I do use them, they come back the next time I start DUST, as I described above. |

Still happening in Uprising, still get 1 free Militia Caldari Medium Frame, 1 free Militia Shotgun, and 1 free Militia Nanohive. Items still appear to be used up on suit loss, but respawn upon restarting the DUST client. |

I always assumed they gave you those items, not because you 'bought' them, but because they were encouraging you to experiment with fittings. |

i hate that one item. it always restocks 1 of it, i eventually gave up on using it to get rid of it. i hate having pointless clutter in my inventory. it makes me angry. |
