alright anyone who is a die hard scout out there but occasionally dable in the black magic of other suits i would like to just talk about what you want to add remove increase decrease etc. on scout suits and the current weapons you have and use on it
this is just any suggestions beginners and pros alike i would like to hear what you think would make scouts a reasonable element in battle because the way they are right now is umm... weak? slow? not so stealthy? clumsy? but whatever... i would like to hear all scout runners opinions |

I am not specced into scouts however i consider myself a scout now. (Cant wait till may 6 respec) I've been using the dragonfly for the past 2-3 weeks almost every match. I personally think there is nothing to decrease on it. A increase in CPU would be nice but that's about it. |

I've been using A-series and B-series Scouts for a while now, pretty much every Scout, and I have fittings in every dropsuit up to Type-2.
Scout needs a slight increase in base speed, a higher/longer horizontal jump, increased "stealthiness", and easily more CPU. Currently, I have to put on a Enhanced CPU extender, which completely defeats the purpose of the Scout, and doesn't allow for me to equip many of the modules/weapons I'd need otherwise. |

They're fast, stealthy, and have good scanning stats- what's not to like? The advantage of the scout is starting the fight on your terms- whether on a solo scale, or talking about the whole battle (thus the name- scout)
What they need is more PG/CPU to fit drop uplinks more easily. |

Scouts are good in my opinion (I have done some sniping, nova knifing, assault rifling and shot gunning with the suit). I think it is good. Proto could be better, give them a profile dampening bonus. |

Just started my scout's exploits today. my god, 1 point in vigor and basic cardiacs and I can knifesprint across an entire city without slowing down. really helps with the flanking.
Definitely speccing into minmatar suits may 6(speed and extra melee damage) and I love the knives. |

I use the dragonfly for setting up drop uplinks at beginning of match asap. I like the stealth and radar detection, it uses a damage mod so it gets killed fast. I agree with the others in an increase of CPU, mine has to use a CPU upgrade and doesn't even have sidearm nor grenades. I would love to test the B-series but all my SP is spent on assault. If CPU was high enough I can imagine a armor tanked fast fit without the need of repairer because triage nanohive. But 2 equipment slots and low CPU doesn't make any sense... |

I've only ever used them with Nova Knives, and I have to say the scan profile is a little high. I've had heavies-who have the highest scan precision-see me on their TACNET and whirl around to shoot me. That's with Dropsuit Command maxed and two points into Profile Dampening. (35% total decrease in profile) |

When you say TACNET is that the radar or the camera? Because the camera sees anything no matter how low your profile is. I have been behind a heavy for a long time and he only turned his back because he heard my shotgun.

Ok that's strange then, unless you appear on radar if another enemy sees you directly through the camera.

If you're not in a squad, TACNET shares the locations of every enemy you can detect (visually or through scanners) with every other "no squad" player. It doesn't share it with people in squads.
If you're in a squad, TACNET shares those locations ONLY with your squadmates. Nobody in other squads, and none of the "no squad" players.
In my opinion, this is a problem and should be fixed. Even though it will be a nerf to Scouts.
At the moment, Dropsuit Command gives a buff to Scan Profile, making the Scout's advantage in this area less valuable. This is already confirmed NOT to be the case for Uprising, so that alone will be a buff of sorts to the Scout, and will counterbalance the aforementioned nerf.
Also, because Scouts are meant to be SCOUTS, the nerf of everyone revealing you to everyone will also be a buff when you remain undetected and light up the entire enemy team for 30m around you because of your lower Scan Precision and higher Radius. |
