The answer is based on the situation. If a Surya is called in against a team that has no tanks of their own, that Surya+blaster will destroy, but if that team calls in a Sagaris+railgun, it will annihilate the Surya from range.
Surya+blaster= Anti Infantry Sagaris+railgun= Anti Vehicle |

Well, if you want a serious answer,
With the advent of bigger PC battles (compared to current corporation battles), there will arise new strategies and tactics that can be employed by each side.
My estimation will be that, due to increased squad sizes, vehicles will take a more prominent role, especially with bigger map sizes. One vehicle that will become invaluable, or so I hope, will be the dropship. LAVs and their role in transportation will also become much more valuable. These vehicles keep the squad together too, as a 6man squad can fit into one dropship or neatly into two LAVs.
However, I may be wrong. Increased map and team sizes may simply lead to the ability to camp each objective with a small half-squad (3 man) with specialised infantry roles depending on the layout of the map and the available cover around an objective.
Or there'd be a mix of both.
Which leads back to my first point.
Both tanks are equally important. The enemy determines how important one is over the other, not PC.
It'll be exactly the same as it is now. |
