All militia items a overpowered where a swarm that is completly free can take down vehcles that cost alot of isk ccp should either nerf militia items or make it so there are no milita av equipment |

I dont drive a militia HAV i drive madrugers and surya and the limited HAV not militia but even they should get nerfed |

HAVs are not up close and personal fighting vehicles like in BF3. In this game they are long range support vehicles designed to supress enemy units while infantry moves in. Typically you will need a screen of blues to keep AV from getting close to you and come cover to duck behind when you are getting targeted and also probably a repair person to keep you in the fight.
It is considered a win for every person on the other team you force to spawn as AV because that person doesn't have a Vizam lazer rifle or AR to kill blues with.
Just because you have a HAV doesn't mean you should be any tougher then another other person on the field. It just allows you to play differently. A militia AR can take out a proto player and militia AV can take out a high level tank. If this wasn't the case then Pubstompings would be even worse then they are. |

You are probably right, I'm sure there are loads of people with 2M+ skill points unspent because they never felt the need to do anything with it. |

yeah so to give people incentive to spend them make all the militia blueprints weaker cause people who dont spec to decend into the back round and people who do spec to stay in the fight

Um. Pretty sure Lothar was being sarcastic, Shooter.
Militia gear's weakness is marginally nastier fitting requirements than standard has. Worse fitting = less flexibility, = poorer performance. Not always, but in the aggregate it does seem to work that way. I gave up using it because I wanted decent AV grenades and remote explosives.
... So, in its way, a militia fit is more specialized than a standard: it can't generally do as much.
That said, if you're losing decent tanks to militia equipment ... um. Props to the guys who killed you, TBH.

No matter what the level of swarm launcher, all missiles do the same damage. The higher tier ones just shoot more missiles.
Not only that, but swarms do more damage against armor than shields. Also, the guy could have been using complex damage mods too.
Militia items are just supposed to be items that anyone can use that are basically the same gun as a standard version, only they cost less and have less ammo while being bulkier. |

So you did not see 'Milittia Swarm Launcher' as the weapon that shot and killed you. Though, you THINK it was one, therefore, you jumped on here and complained that starting off in militia gear is OP, when vets are running around with Duvolles. You know we should want people to want to play this game. Making there first 20 games frustrating is not going to bring in the Money$. |

Considering that any half-decent tanker shoots from behind cover and any half-wit drop-ship pilot flies from tall building to tall building... I would say it would defeat the purpose of the Swarm Launcher (A light AV weapon that can effectively damage vehicles that are using cover. Wide turns would make hitting drop-ships impossible, as well as LAV's going top speed.
A better idea is laser guided, and a minimal arming distance of 20 meters so people can not suicide bomb. |

CCP tried an alternative with Swarms going high speed instead but that was just crazy, swarms really were over powered then. So we have the current awkward balance with unhappy people on both sides. Maybe the swarm is pretty well balanced after all.

A high velocity missile that requires the user to keep a target painted with a limitation is a very FPS skill based solution. note: the militia Swarms are a kitten to fit with anything worthwhile, and get half the shots of the standard.
I use the CBR-7, I shove tanks into the redline and keep their drivers hiding like the cowards they are. Seriously, you want to remove the ONLY viable option{any tanker worthy of the title will remove turrets from the field priority one} newbies have to fight back against your pubstomp tank, that's the epitome of cowardice. |
